World Mental Health Day is an international observance held every October 10 to raise global awareness about mental health issues, fight social stigma, and mobilize support for mental health care. This year’s theme is “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.”

💚Lived experiences heard: Give people the space to speak openly about their mental health without judgement, shame or stigma.
💚Real voices: Recognise that people experiencing mental health challenges have valuable knowledge about what they need and what helps them.
💚Real change: Turn listening into action by improving support, challenging discrimination and ensuring people have a voice in decisions that affect their lives.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE - OSAGE DAY

In observance of Osage Day, the Osage Nation Health System (ONHS) will be closed on:

This closure includes Wahzhazhe Health Center, the Counseling Center, grant programs, and Title VI Elder Nutrition.

ONHS facilities will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, October 13.

Join some of our Prevention Department staff, along with many other Osage Nation Health System departments, at the 3rd Annual CHR Health Fair today, October 7, 2026, at the Osage County Fairgrounds Ag Building in Pawhuska, OK!
The Health Fair will be held from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM and will feature door prizes, lunch, and T-shirts while supplies last.
Stop by our booth to say hi and pick up an Opioid Safety Kit and/or an Increase Your Peace Kit!
If you’re seeing this a little late and missed us at the Health Fair, no worries! You can still reach out to us to request a kit. We’d be happy to help!

Representatives from the Osage Nation Health System – Prevention Department are attending the 2026 IHS SASP/DVP National Grantee Meeting in Rockville, Maryland at the IHS Headquarters.
This required grantee meeting brings together Tribal programs to share information, resources, and strategies related to su***de prevention, substance use prevention, behavioral health, and community wellness.
We look forward to bringing back knowledge and resources that can support our continued prevention efforts and strengthen services for the Osage community.
