There are moments that remind you exactly why youth sports matter, and this is one of them.

A huge congratulations to these young athletes- Outlaws 13u! They went out, competed with some of the best, and came home undefeated headed to the Super Bowl this coming weekend! They represented our community with pride, heart, and determination.

We’ve always believed we have something special here in Stonington, and this is just more proof. These teams are kids who can line up alongside players they’ll be competing against in the fall, build friendships, then flip the switch when it’s time to play and dominate on the field.

This also shows what youth football is all about. Great players don’t happen without great coaches. Congratulations to the 13u head coach, Hunter from Ellington, and to the assistant coaches from Stonington and the surrounding towns who came together to make this season successful. When communities work together, great things happen.

Now, these local boys are headed to the Super Bowl- carrying our area with them. Let’s show them what this community is all about. Cheer them on, wish them luck, and let them know we’re behind them every step of the way.

Let’s do this for Stonington. For family. For our community.

🏈 STONINGTON YOUTH FOOTBALL NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🐻

The Stonington Youth Football League is currently looking to fill the role of Fundraising Committee Chair for the remainder of the year.

Our program is free to play and continues to grow because of the amazing volunteers and families who step up to support our athletes and community. This position would help organize fundraising efforts, community events, and support the continued success of our Bears program.

If you are interested in getting involved, helping make a difference, and being a part of the Bears family, we would love to hear from you!
