🫶 Thank you, FaithInTheValley, for inviting us to participate in today’s Voting is Sacred nonpartisan press conference. We had the opportunity to discuss the significance of youth civic
engagement.

🗳️ At Invest In Me, Civic Engagement is one of our core pillars because we believe preparing young people for adulthood includes preparing them to participate in their communities. Civic engagement is bigger than voting. It’s volunteering, attending community meetings, understanding how government works, speaking up about issues that affect them, and eventually casting an informed vote.

📣 Voices to Votes is a nonpartisan community event that aims to promote civic engagement, educate voters, empower youth, and foster meaningful conversations between candidates, and the people they serve.

💛 Wellbeing is one of our core values. We thank everyone who joined us for a morning filled with learning, data insights, and connections centered around the Gatekeeper Training for Su***de Prevention.

🫶 Su***de prevention is not limited to September; it’s an ongoing conversation and a year-long commitment. We will continue to provide QPR trainings throughout the year. If you’re interested in bringing this training to your business, school district, community organization, or students, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Contact us at [email protected]

🫶 Did you know October is Domestic Awareness month?
3.3 million to 15.5 million children are exposed to domestic violence in the United States each year, while roughly 1 in 3 teens experience relationship or teen dating violence.

💜 Teaching youth about red flags, setting boundaries, and defining their expectations is crucial in breaking cycles of abuse and establishing healthy behaviors at a young age.

💜 Defining what constitutes a healthy relationship between friends, coworkers, teammates, classmates, and romantic partners is fundamental. We are proud of the 50+ students who joined us to learn and connect.

💛 Improving lives, strengthening communities.
