We do community projects, and have opportunities for education, socials, and field trips. Patterson Garden Club is proud to be affiliated with the Valley Lode District, California Garden Clubs, Inc., Pacific Region Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc. Our club was established in 1958 and has continued to be a source of community, education, and new friendships for local gardeners fo
r over 60 years. Meetings are typically held September through May on the 4th Thursday of the month, with the exception of November and December when we hold meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month due to the holidays. Patterson Garden Club is dedicated to the safety of our membership. As a nonprofit we are required to follow the current Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS) for California and the most up-to-date version of our club COVID Prevention Plan will always be posted in the description of our events. Following the ETS offers us a framework to meet, learn, share, and socialize with a focus on member well-being. Our club members' interests vary widely and local gardeners are likely to find a kindred spirit in our group. We learn and grow together through educational programming in our regular meetings, field trips, fundraiser activities, community beautification, civic projects, and more. Our membership is active and generously gives of their time, talents, extra seeds, and extra plants. Our club is proud to donate to:
- P.R.I.D.E. Scholarships for local graduating seniors
- Penny Pines U.S. Forest service reforestation program
- Ronald McDonald House supporting families with ill children
Our club members regularly volunteer for Rising Sun Farm and Garden School events, and are grateful to them for their ongoing kindness to our club through donations and opportunities. The Patterson Garden Club is pleased to collaborate with and promote the Patterson Library and their Seed Library collection which is available to library patrons. Our club is a regular participant in the Stanislaus County Fair themed garden competitions, as well as the annual Patterson Downtown Christmas Tree decorating competition. Our skilled members with a talent for crafts and an eye for aesthetics have earned us awards. Most recently the 2019 1st Place Blue Ribbon for our Fantasy Garden installment at the county fair, and the 2019 1st Place Medal for our Christmas Tree design. For more information please message our page. We invite you to join us as a guest at any of our upcoming meetings which you can find in the events section.

Our life before pandemic is no more. Our world is changing rapidly,
the scourge of fire and rising sea,
Brings with it FEAR,
Not knowing what’s in store. Can we choose peace, flags unfurled? Communicate? Collaborate? Find a way to celebrate? Our task is huge. The stakes are high. Each one teach one. Reach one. TRY. page: Pacific Region Garden Clubs
