Chesapeake High School PTSA

The Chesapeake High School PTSA supports our Parents, Teachers, Students and staff. We welcome your support. PTA also provides educational opportunities.

PTA provides opportunities to meet and to talk with other parents who have the same worries as you. By sharing common concerns, you will feel more empowered to do the tough job of parenting. Being part of PTA results in parental support and makes school involvement easier. You will no longer feel all alone in raising your child. From local-level parent meetings to the Maryland PTA Annual Convention, PTA encourages learning and the sharing of accomplishments. Ultimately, PTA provides the opportunity to serve, to volunteer, and to contribute to the welfare of all children, because children represent our future. PTA will introduce you to a great variety of new activities and opportunities to share your special talents. PTA will give you opportunity, not only to impact your local community, but to have input in major legislative and policy issues affecting children throughout the state.

💙💛 Have an eye for Cougar style? We’re looking for our next CHS PTSA Spirit Wear Coordinator!

Help our school community show its pride by:
👕 Designing—or working with a designer on—our fall shirt/hoodie
🧢 Helping sell our current inventory of hats, socks, stickers, and more
🐾 Bringing fresh ideas for items our Cougars would love!

Most of the year, this role requires very little time. The busiest stretch is when shirts arrive: a few hours spread over several days to organize and distribute orders.

And you won’t be figuring it out alone! We’ll work alongside you for the rest of this school year, helping you learn the process until you’re ready to take the lead.

💡 Tuesday Tip: Your PTSA membership gives you a voice—and a vote!

Join us virtually on Monday, November 2, at 7 p.m. to review the proposed budget. Members will vote on its approval, helping guide how we support our students, staff, and school community this year.

We’ll also share opportunities to get involved, including our Spirit Wear coordinator role. Whether you’re interested in leading a committee or helping occasionally, we’d love to hear from you!

CADY will be on campus from 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. for students who:
✅ Missed the original Picture Day
✅ Would like a retake of their yearbook portrait

Please remind your student to dress appropriately and arrive ready for their photo!

Did you know the CHS PTSA will distribute a total of $2,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in May 2027?

To be eligible to apply, a senior’s family must be a CHS PTSA member by January 1, 2027.
