In case you missed this week's CHS newsletter, this was included for Class of 2027 Families.
Attention Class of 2027 Families!
I hope you are excited to have rising seniors in the coming weeks. Class dues are essential for funding graduation and other senior related events, including the senior prom and various other senior activities throughout next school year.
It is important to note that AACPS does not provide financial support for these events; therefore, all funding must come from class dues and fundraising efforts. To ensure that we can create a memorable senior year for everyone, we encourage you to pay your dues promptly.
Class dues are set at $30 per year, totaling $120 over the four years of your attendance at Chesapeake High School. Please be advised that starting July 1, 2026, any student who has not paid their class dues in full will be placed on an obligation list. Being on this list means you will not be able to receive your graduation tickets or participate in senior events, including the prom, until your dues are settled.

Online School Payments (OSP) portal is a service provided to parents to facilitate payment for school fees for a variety of products and services.

The CHS Class of 2027 is selling Gertrude Hawk Chocolate Bars. If anyone is interested in purchasing please let me know. We have a variety of flavors. Juniors that sell 3 boxes qualify for a free prom ticket. We have 1 student who has already earned 2 free prom tickets :)

We need some parents to help set up, clean up, chaperone, and a few donations like water, Gatorade, and a few coolers to borrow. Junior Prom Chaperone Volunteers Needed
Chesapeake High School is looking for parent volunteers to help chaperone Junior Prom on Saturday, March 7th from 6-9 . This event cannot be held without enough chaperones, so your support is essential to making prom a safe and successful night for our students. We will also need support setting up and cleaning up after the event.
All chaperones must be background checked in accordance with school district policy prior to the event.

AVID & CHS are doing a schoolwide fundraiser to support a great cause. LUV Michael is a company that supports adults with disabilities. All your students need to do is to sign up and send out text/emails requesting donations. In return the LUV Michael company will send the donator granola!
A portion of the $ raised will go to support CHS's AVID classes and a portion will go to support our Class of 2027 fundraising efforts. Just for signing up students will receive10 service hours for participating and fundraising. This is great for students in AVID or students planning on applying to NHS. Additionally students who
raise at least $500 qualify for the special graduation cord.
