2026 has started off with a lot of great activities, discussions and class time for the Leadership Labette Class of 2025-2026!
During the January session the class learned about consensus building and asking powerful questions. The panel discussion for this class session included Leadership Labette Alumni Melanie Chappel, Don Betts, and Tori Saye, who spoke with the class about how important consensus building is for completing the class project.
In the February session, the class learned about building strong communities, "raising the heat", and collaboration. They heard from a panel of social safety net agencies that included members of Labette County Sheriff's Department, Labette Health, Labette Center for Mental Health, Parsons Police Department, Altamont Police Department, Oswego Police Department, Labette County Assistance Center and Red Cross.
