Allah subhana wa ta’ala gave the Prophet ﷺ, without him
even asking.

Allah says:

“We see you. We see your face looking into the skies.

We are going to guide you toward the qiblah that your heart loves.”

He was not making a specific request.
He was simply, present. With Allah.

And then Allah says in a beautiful
hadith qudsi:

“The one who is busy with My remembrance, glorifying, praising, remembering Me,
over asking of Me specifically.

I will give them the best of what anyone who has ever asked has been given.”

One day the people who know you best will describe the kind of man you were, and it will not be the version you posted or performed.

It will be the man they actually lived alongside.

The Prophet ﷺ told us that the best among us is the one who is best to his own family, the people who see him with the mask off.

That kind of man is not built by accident, and almost never alone. It takes reflection, intention, and the company of other men holding the same standard.

Sacred Manhood Retreat is three days in the mountains of Vermont to do exactly that work, together.

Led by Shaykh Yasir Fahmy, Imam Abdul-Malik Merchant, & Ustadh Zaied Abbassi.

October 30 to November 1. For brothers 18 and older.
