It takes a village to have another successful “Friends of Lake Hiawatha” Winterfest! Our thanks to the Parsippany Police Dept, Lk Hiawatha Fire Dept, the Rescue and Recovery Dept and to the Parks Dept for the beautifully decorated gazebo! Our thanks to Mayor Barberio for all his support! The night included students from Mr. Marra’s music studio who entertained the crowd with their singing and playing! Besides getting to see santa, the children got their faces painted by our own local artist “Gracy”
Congratulations to Eros DiSilvestri and Anaya Khan for winning the boy and girls bicycles which were donated by our local Unity Bank!
Thank you to the parents who braved the cold weather and of course to santa and all his elves! It was wonderful to see the community come together for this wonderful event!!

The Unity Bank in Lake Hiawatha is a community bank that supports non-profit organizations! If ten individuals open an account at the bank and say that they support the friends of lake Hiawatha, then the bank will contribute funds to the organization! This will help the friends of lake Hiawatha to purchase new winter decorations for the new lampposts and to continue our community outreach such as our annual “Winterfest” Your support will be greatly appreciated!!
