We have gotten interest from several people and companies who wish to help with the Old Memphis Cemetery clean up but are not able to attend. The Parrish Civic Association has set up an Amazon Gift Registry for those who wish to support the efforts. The PCA will make sure all items are delivered to the appropriate parties.

For those who have not heard, a cowardly person or persons desecrated multiple gravestones at the Old Memphis Cemetery (located at 25th Street West, Palmetto)

Commissioner Amanda Ballard has posted the following flyer and we are asking for the community to come together and help clean up this final resting place for so many local resident.

These are needed items: cemetery cones to hold flowers, flowers for graves, flags for graves, gardening gloves, water and refreshments, a tent for shade, rakes, pruning shears, other basic gardening equipment, bags to hold debris. The county is believed to be bringing chemicals to dissolve paint, as well as pressure washers, dumpsters, and porta potties!
