MDCTA would like to sincerely thank ALL of the volunteers who came out to help with both of our horse trials at Shawan Downs, the 54th annual recognized horse trials on May 30-31, and the Jenny Camp starter trials yesterday, June 7. You are all appreciated and wonderful!
We would also like to thank our generous sponsors and supporters, starting with our Partner Sponsors RPM Trailer Services and Sue Jarboe, Stubben Saddles NA. Thank you for all your support! (And the bubbles....so many bubbles....)
Many, many thanks to Fence Sponsors A Bit Better Farm, Anytime Tack, Cuvino Restaurant, Dovecote Equestrian, Hess Equine, Hunting Ridge Farm, Julie Bigham, Kerra Johnson Equestrian, Maryland Horse Breeders Association, the Maryland International CCI & Horse Trials, The Mill of Bel Air, Oldfields School, Pam's Bits and Bridles, Pleasant Prospect Farm, and Weber's Tack Trunk. You are special people!
Many MDCTA dedicated members do the hundreds of tasks, small and large, to be able to offer the beautiful fields of Shawan Downs to our eventers each summer. Thank you, members! Your time and effort are valued, no matter whether you were on the grounds all day jump judging or at home cheering us on.
We are very grateful to The Land Preservation Trust for allowing us to offer such a spectacular place to eventers to enjoy, both for education in schooling the cross country course, and for competing in the many divisions in two competitions. We welcomed several hundred horses and riders over the 10 days we takeover the place!
To our officials - thank you for your time and expertise, for your assistance and guidance, especially to Mogie Bearden-Muller, our professional course designer who offered a fantastic course preview to our sponsors and supporters in the week before the recognized - some participants are still talking about that!
Thank you to our professional builder Craig who puts up with an immense amount of .... from us!
And there is one group left to thank: Have we recognized the competitors, coaches, trainers, parents and grooms yet? You are so valuable to the sport. You are who we do this for! Thanks for supporting us, and please come back! And do check Victoria Morano Photography for your beautiful photos in a few days (and purchase a few).
