October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This month, we want to honor the incredible individuals in Carson County who have fought cancer—those who are survivors, those still fighting, and those whose memories live on in our hearts.

We invite our community to help us recognize these individuals by sharing their stories.

If you would like to honor someone, please submit via email to [email protected]

Their name and connection to Carson County

The type of cancer they battled

A short story about their life, their impact on others, or what makes them special

Whether they are a survivor, currently fighting, or being remembered

Please make sure you have permission to share their photo and story publicly.

Together, we can celebrate courage, honor loved ones, and remind every family affected by cancer that they are not alone.

It's time for the Canadian Fall Foliage Festival! October 17th!

We are headed out of Panhandle via our" History On Wheels" program at 9:30 to tour Canadian! We will drive around, check out the fall folliage, hit the street market for shopping and lunch! We will head over to the Citadelle for the Native American Art show!

We will head back that afternoon/evening (It depends on how tired we are!)

We only have 6 spots available for transport! Please call the museum at 806-537-3524 to secure your spot- this one will fill up! We offer you transportation for free to events like these through our History on Wheels program, made possible through a generous grant from the Mary E Bivins Foundation!

We would love for you to join us on a tour of Harrington House this Thursday, September 24th! Our tour time is 10:30, we will leave Panhandle at 9:45ish after picking up in White Deer at 9:15. If you want to join us from Groom we will pick you up and bring you to the museum to leave with our 9:45 group! We will tour, have lunch in Amarillo (self pay) and then head home!

Come see us at the Ag barn!! The brisket is ready, the country store is set up! We are ready to serve you!

This is our biggest fundraiser, to help keep us going another year. If you didn’t know, we are a 501c3 with means we are completely self sustained. We depend on donations and fundraisers like this to keep doing what we do!
