Claire Means represented Carson County this week as a Healthy Texas Youth Ambassador at Summit in College Station. She was recognized as a MyPlate Ambassador. She also was one of 14 ambassadors asked to present her MyPlate project to the group of over 250 HYTA’s while at Summit. Her taste testing project, was a huge success with the end result being in implementing new recipes into our very own cafeteria. She also served as a volunteer during the 4H state Roundup during the Food Challenge competition. Way to represent, Claire! πŸ€

Our hearts continue to be with Texas Panhandle residents impacted by the recent wildfires. Individuals wanting to help can do so with a monetary donation through the Amarillo Area Foundation via the Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund: https://bit.ly/42Ffpf1

This relief fund has provided valuable assistance to those Panhandle residents in need during times of wildfire, as well as other community needs, since its inception in 1957.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service - Disaster Assessment and Recovery specialists have also been providing damage assessments and other support. Our DAR Unit stands ready to serve the Panhandle during this critical time of need.
