SWATT-NEWS | A NEW CHAPTER IN LIFESAVING TRANSPORTS

💙 BE A SWATT HERO TODAY! HELP US KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING! ✈️🐾

BIG NEWS, SWATT FAMILY!

Following numerous meetings with our amazing leadership at Southwest Airlines Headquarters, the pet fee is now being waived for eligible charity transports facilitated by SWATT Transport!

This is a significant milestone for our mission! By removing this barrier for eligible transports, we can turn our attention toward another important goal: helping our Flight Angels and Rescue Partners overcome other challenges that can stand between an animal and a second chance.

AND NOW, WE NEED YOU!

💙 YOUR GENEROSITY CAN HELP OPEN THE DOOR TO MORE LIFESAVING MISSIONS!

✈️ HELP A FLIGHT ANGEL

Sometimes, saving a life means traveling across the country and staying overnight. Your donation could help offset hotel expenses and make a challenging transport possible.

🐾 SUPPORT OUR RESCUE PARTNERS

Rescue organizations work tirelessly to give animals a second chance. Your generosity could help provide carriers, travel supplies, and other essential resources that make safe transports possible.

🛩️ HELP POWER MASS TRANSPORTS

When larger-scale missions move multiple animals to safety, transportation expenses such as fuel can add up quickly. Your contribution could help offset these costs and help more animals reach the loving homes and futures they deserve.

EVERY MISSION MATTERS. EVERY LIFE COUNTS.

Every transport comes with its own challenges. Together, we can find creative solutions, stretch our resources further, and make more lifesaving opportunities possible.

❤️ THIS IS WHAT PARTNERSHIP LOOKS LIKE!

Southwest Airlines helps make our mission possible. Our Flight Angels give their time and travel to help animals in need. Our Rescue Partners work tirelessly on the ground. And YOU, our incredible SWATT supporters, help fuel the mission through your generosity.

YOU HELPED US GET THIS FAR. WILL YOU HELP US TAKE THE NEXT STEP?

❤️ Whether you give a little or a lot, your support helps SWATT continue building a network of compassion, collaboration, and lifesaving opportunities.

❤️ BE A SWATT HERO. DONATE TODAY!

Update:

We have found her a home.😃 Thanks everyone for sharing and reaching out to help!!

This beautiful little girl is in need of a new home asap. She was removed from a home filled with debris and f***s where she was no longer being cared for. Her prior owner is in jail and will be there for a long time. The wonderful people currently caring for her were told she is fixed but have no vet records to varify vaccines. Sadley the sweet people that saved her cannot keep her and we are overfull. She is desperat for love and affection, but can be a little shy at first. She is suppose to be around 5-6 years old. Please message us of you are able to give this precious little girl the loving and caring home she so deserves. She is in the Panama City area.

This would be a cool add on at Operation Spay Bay !

We offer identification tattoos that can be placed while your pet is already under anesthesia for their spay or neuter procedure. Tattoos can provide a permanent form of identification and an additional layer of security if your pet was ever lost or separated from you.

While many pets receive a simple identification tattoo, we also love when clients have a special idea! This client had one very specific request for their pet... a BAT! 🦇

Dr. Lester was able to create this unique tattoo, giving this pet a little permanent personality along with an extra form of identification. 🌸

This right here!! People who have worked with us already know- ask us for help and you will participate!

𝗪𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝗕𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗠.

Yep. This one is for animal welfare.

We got into this because we saw animals needing help and didn’t want to sit back waiting for “someone” to do something.

So 𝙬𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚.

We learned how to trap. How to transport. What places to call. Where to go. What resources existed.

None of us came out of the womb knowing this s**t. 𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱.

But somewhere along the way, rescues and volunteers became the public’s version of unpaid animal control.

❓Found a cat?
😪Call a rescue.

❓Found kittens?
😪Tag a rescue.

❓Injured animal?
😪Someone tag the animal people.

And because we care about the animal, what do we do?

Typically we swoop in and handle it.
Again.
And again.
And again.

But maybe we need to admit something:

𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧.

Every time we do everything for a capable person, we help today’s animal…

but we teach that person absolutely 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 for the next one.

‼️And THAT matters.

Because there aren’t enough of us.
❌There aren’t enough rescuers.
❌There aren’t enough trappers.
❌There aren’t enough fosters.
❌There aren’t enough volunteers.

And there sure as hell aren’t enough hours in the day for the same handful of people to keep being everyone’s personal animal control.

So when someone is capable of participating?
𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲.

💙We’ll teach you how to trap.
💙We’ll show you where to go.
💙We’ll give you resources.
💙We’ll walk you through it.

📞 But YOU make the call.
🚗 YOU transport if you’re able.
📝 YOU learn something from this.

Because the goal shouldn’t be creating a community that knows who to call.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼.

Think about the difference.

If we swoop in today, one animal gets helped.
But if we teach someone how to handle it today?
We may have just created another person capable of helping the NEXT animal.

That’s how we grow animal welfare.

❌Not by making ourselves indispensable.
❌Not by becoming unpaid animal control.
❌Not by continuing to do everything because “it’s just easier if I do it myself.”
✅By creating more people who know how to help.

There will never be enough of us to personally save every animal that needs someone.

So maybe one of the best things we can do for animals…is create more someones. 💙
