Lake Katherine is an 85-acre non-profit park that includes woodlands, prairie, wetlands, gardens, and a 10-acre lake. The park grounds are open year-round.

The Nature Center is open Monday-Saturday. Lake Katherine provides year-round activities and fun for the whole family. The park offers approximately 6 miles of hiking trails, including a scenic trail around the lake and near a beautiful waterfall. The Nature Center includes educational displays and live animal exhibits. Lake Katherine hosts special events for the public and a variety of educational programs for children all year long. Happy National Pumpkin Day!🎃

Throwback to our Pumpkin Party Tiny Tots program! Various shapes, sizes, and textures of pumpkins were explored, and kids were able to decorate them and take them home!

Saturday, November 7 is our Pumpkin Smash event! Compost your pumpkin at Lake Katherine after the Halloween season.

🍵🌱Join us with for an evening of hands-on herbal alchemy as we explore the history, benefits, and practical magic of Fire C***r — a traditional winter tonic of garlic, onion, ginger, horseradish, & cayenne pepper steeped in apple c***r vinegar and rooted in folk herbalism. You’ll learn how warming herbs, pungent roots, and circulatory spices work together to support immunity, boost circulation, and bring heat to the body during the colder months. This class includes a short presentation, a live demonstration, tasting of three Fire C***r varieties, and guided instruction on crafting your own. Participants will leave with both knowledge and experience, along with materials to continue crafting at home.
