How about some good news?! After several weeks, hundreds of miles of driving, blood, sweat, tears and the gamut of emotions, we were able to finally trap these two love birds! 🥰 The grey boy is almost totally blind and was dumped in Big Rock Creek, CA back in the Fall of 2025. He was originally seen with a pack of five other dogs. Three were trapped by a different rescue, one was allegedly picked up by a camper and this poor nearly blind dog was left all alone to fend for himself. A few compassionate folks drove out weekly to feed him, and then he disappeared for MONTHS 😢 We all thought he’d passed when miraculously he reappeared…..AND WITH A GIRLFRIEND! This is an austere environment in the mountains below Wrightwood. Make no mistake about it, these dogs were intentionally dumped. The rescue that trapped the three last Fall left this poor guy behind then said "It was too far to go back for him." Well, that’s not how Ark 2.0 operates. Together with the gals who’d been feeding them all this time, and the help of expert trapper Kym Koskie-Stocks, and a partner rescue, these two were finally saved!! Stay tuned for donation info. 100% of donations will go to rescue who took these well-deserved precious pups into their care. They have a vet appointment this next week and the vision-impaired boy will especially be needing help🙏 We are so thankful to finally get these two off the mountain, out of the elements, and into warm beds.
