OBJECT OF ROTARY

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
First: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
Second: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
Third: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
Fourth: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

We did it! Palm Desert Rotary started set up at 05:30 on Sunday in preparation for the annual Pancake Breakfast. Everything was ready to go at 7:45 and we served our first customer at 8:00 am.
With the help of many Rotarians, spouses and friends, we served over 300 delicious meals to all that came along. By 11:00, we were done and the parade was getting ready ! While some Rotarians went off to walk in the Golf Cart Parade, others quickly dismantled all of the equipment and had it stowed away by 12:30! Thank you to all of our sponsors and of you who turned up to help and eat breakfast.
Special thanks to the three strong and beefy helpers from Desert Arc without whom this would not be possible.

The Rotary Club of Palm Desert, under the leadership of Event Chair, Mark Stanley, successfully hosted its annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, serving more than 300 breakfasts. All net proceeds from this event help support a variety of important youth programs and projects in our community.
This much anticipated event is truly a “team” effort, made possible by the enthusiasm, dedication of our almost our entire membership.

We were honored to welcome District Governor, Richard Lemire and District Governor-Elect, Brian Pellis, both of whom participated in the Golf Cart Parade - which takes place right after our Pancake Breakfast.

Beyond its fundraising success, the morning provided a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, strengthening friendships and connecting with members of our community. A great example of Rotary spirit in action!
