END OF AN ERA 😢
Thrive and Hope Station share this news with great sadness, but also tremendous joy. On Thursday, September 17th, Randy Bechtel officially resigned from his role as our Thrive Campus Pastor.
We are sad to see this chapter come to an end, but incredibly excited for the new chapter he is stepping into.
Randy has served as our first-ever Thrive Campus Pastor for the last four years. He stepped into this role knowing that, in many ways, we were figuring things out as we went.
What we received through Randy was more than we could have imagined.
He served beyond what we ever expected. He loved extravagantly every person he interacted with. Most importantly, he modeled what it looks like to truly follow Jesus.
His presence will be deeply missed at Thrive and throughout our Hope Station community.
Our hearts have been tender. They’ve been shattered, but also filled with precious hope and excitement for what’s ahead.
And Randy isn’t leaving us…let that be clear. Randy is GOING. He is being SENT.
Randy is stepping into a new family and a new chapter in Honduras. He has found love with a precious, God-fearing woman who has truly been an answer to prayer. ❤️
On September 26th, Randy will celebrate his marriage in Honduras! He left for Honduras Sunday morning and is currently settling in and spending time with his new family.
We know this may have seemed sudden to many of you, but behind the scenes, God had been slowly preparing the way.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be praying and seeking the Lord about what this next chapter of Thrive looks like without Randy in this role. But for now, we don’t want to rush past this moment.
We want to celebrate Randy. Honor him. And cheer him on as he steps into everything God has for him.
Randy, thank you for these last four years. Thank you for loving our guys, loving this community, and loving Jesus so well. What you’ve poured into this place will remain in the heart of Thrive.
I love you, brother. ❤️
Sincerely,
Pablo Contreras
Thrive Director…aka Randy’s brother and best friend.
