From hovering and gliding to darting and zigzagging, insect wings make a lot possible. 🪽 These tiny but powerful tools help insects find food, regulate temperature, evade predators, attract mates and explore the world around them.

UPDATE: Jordan Creek Park will be open this weekend as paving work takes a break. Construction is scheduled to resume on Monday (8/31), when the park will close again while work continues.

Please use caution while visiting and be aware of active work areas. For your safety, respect any signs, cones and other closures.

Fall fun doesn't happen without amazing volunteers! 🍂

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with several upcoming events across Lake Metroparks. There are opportunities for a variety of interests, ages and experience levels including:

🦋 Bug Day at Penitentiary Glen Reservation – ages 14+
🚜 Fall Events at Lake Metroparks Farmpark – ages 16+
🦉 Hoo-loween at Penitentiary Glen Reservation – ages 16+
🎃 Halloween Drive-Thru at Lake Metroparks Farmpark – ages 12+ (ages 12–15 must be accompanied by an adult)

Help create memorable experiences for thousands of visitors this fall while earning service hours, building new skills and meeting fellow volunteers!

As we celebrate 100 years since the first dance at the Community Center, we're excited to welcome Prime Time Big Band Cleveland to tomorrow's Old-Fashioned Picnic. They'll be playing from 6–8 pm, so bring your dancing shoes if you'd like to hit the dance floor. 💃🕺

Come enjoy an evening of live music, lakeside scenery and old-fashioned fun!

The Village Peddler Festival is coming to Lake Metroparks Farmpark September 12–13! Stroll the grounds and shop handmade accessories, décor and more from a wide variety of unique vendors, then enjoy delicious bites, live music and a festive fall atmosphere.🌻
