🎄 Help make Christmas brighter for a local teen. 🎄

For many teens in our community, Christmas comes with uncertainty. Some live with food insecurity and lack everyday basics, and their families may have little left for Christmas gifts.

Reality Check, Inc. is looking for Christmas sponsors! You can help by:

🎁 Sponsoring a teen: Make a monetary donation or purchase Christmas gifts for a teen in need. Message us, and we’ll match you with one or more teens and provide sizes, needs, and gift ideas.

🧥 Giving toward Christmas hoodies: We want to give every one of our teens a hoodie again this year! Donations toward this effort are greatly appreciated.

Every gift is an opportunity to remind a teen that they are seen, valued, and loved. Whether you sponsor a teen, contribute toward hoodies, or share this post, you can help make that happen.

📩 Message us to sponsor a teen or learn how to give.

Reality Check, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax deductible.

Throughout the week the school bell rings, and a lot of teens right here in our community have nowhere safe to go.

The hours after school and on weekends are when teens are most at risk. Research shows youth violent crime peaks between 3 and 6 PM. Teens who aren’t in afterschool programs are 3 times more likely to use drugs and nearly 3 times more likely to skip class. Here in Alabama, 1 in 4 children face hunger.

Reality Check exists to change that.
When a teen walks through our doors, they find:
✔️ A safe place to be
✔️ Caring mentors who believe in them
✔️ A meal and a place to belong
✔️ Direction, purpose, and hope for the future

It works. Teens in quality afterschool programs get better grades, go to school more often, and have stronger mental health. Every $1 invested in afterschool saves at least $3 for the whole community.
But we can’t do it without you.
For as little as $35 a month, about $1.15 a day, you can sponsor a teen and help keep our doors open after the last bell rings. Your monthly gift gives a young person a safe place, a mentor, a meal, and a future.
