Our 3rd Saturday Serve projects are designed to be accessible and social. You don't need special skills or experience : just a willing heart and a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. We check you in, walk you through orientation, and place you alongside a team of friendly faces. Before you know it, you'll be packing essentials, sorting donations, or delivering a smile to a family in need.

The best part? You'll leave having met new neighbors, shared some laughs, and made a real difference in Charlotte.

This Saturday, we're honored to be back at United Communities Against Poverty (UCAP) spending the day with the incredible women and children they serve.

Together, we'll be creating vision boards, sharing meaningful conversations, enjoying lunch, and reminding one another that hope begins with seeing what's possible.

We believe that serving goes beyond meeting immediate needs: it's about encouraging dreams, building confidence, and letting people know they are seen, valued, and supported.

If you'd like to make a difference, we'd love to have you join us. Whether you volunteer, donate, or simply help spread the word, every act of kindness matters.

Neighbors, there is a special kind of joy that comes from showing up. In the DMV, we believe that when we come together, we’re doing more than just volunteer work, we’re practicing Ubuntu. We’re reminding our neighbors that they are seen and loved through an interaction of dignity and love.

Join me and the team for our next Saturday Serve. We’re partnering with to make a real impact across Washington, DC, Maryland (Prince George’s County), and Virginia (Arlington, Fairfax, Alexandria).

When: 1st Saturday of every month (except holidays) | 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Where: Harborside Hotel

What to Expect:
1. Check-in: Arrive on time and sign in.
2. Orientation: Meet our team leads and get the vision for the day.
3. Break into teams: Get assigned to projects like care packages, street distribution, or organizing.
4. Deploy: Head out to serve on-site or in the community.
5. Regroup: We’ll come back together to share stories and celebrate.

What to bring: Just yourself, a willing heart, a friend, and comfortable clothes. We provide all the supplies!

Ubuntu. “I am because we are.”

This philosophy is the foundation of our Movement. When we show up for our neighbors, we aren’t just providing service: we are acknowledging our shared humanity. Whether in the DMV or Charlotte, we are far stronger when we serve together.

It’s an interaction of dignity and love that stays with our neighbors and young people with potential long after we leave. We move toward the need because community is where real change happens.

Partnership is the heartbeat of this movement. I want to take a moment to highlight our incredible partners at CarePatrol Gastonia for their support of our Heritage Social Brunch (HSB) on June 7, 2026, in Charlotte.

Events like HSB aren’t just about a meal; they fuel our mission to serve our neighbors through programs like Saturday Serve. When partners like step up, it empowers us to keep showing up for the community. Speaking of showing up: have you considered bringing your work group or your family to serve with us?

Our Charlotte Saturday Serve happens every 3rd Saturday. We meet at 7th Street Market and partner with Crisis Assistance Ministry to make a real impact.

I am so excited to share a glimpse of what’s coming for the Heritage Social Brunch on June 7 in Charlotte! This atmosphere is all about celebrating our culture and the strength of our community. Knowing that every bit of the net proceeds goes directly to supporting Present Help Movement makes this reveal even more powerful.

But the heart of our movement beats every single month. I want to invite you to bring your family, your group, or your coworkers to join us for Saturday Serve.
