Purchase of the book is NOT necessary, but encouraged. The audiobook will be played During the gatherings. We also encourage you to bring a lawn chair/blanket and snack for yourselves

To our beloved community! We wanted to keep you in the loop about What's going on with Oxnard Pride this year. OxnardLGBTQ is in collaboration with with the Love is Love Pride market this happening June 14th at Heritage Square downtown Oxnard. We're soo excited to bring this event to life. Although June is Pride Month, Pride doesn't just happen in June. We are proud all year. Community, we ask If you have any creative ideas to bring more inclusivity and q***r centered events to the 805 please, let us know. We are in the midst of planning more micro events soon! For now, we hope to see you on June 14th for this epic Pride market! Applications for Vendors and Resources are now available via our linktree in our bio. Entertainment is still TBD. Donations are also very much welcomed.

Join us for a powerful and heartfelt evening of reflection, remembrance, and community.

On February 13, 2026, we invite our community to gather at the Elks Lodge in Oxnard, CA for a screening of the complex and thought-provoking documentary Valentine Road. This film explores themes of identity, youth, justice, and the conversations that continue to shape our community today.

This evening also serves as a moment to honor Black History Month, recognizing that L. is part of Black history. A young life whose story remains deeply connected to conversations about race, identity, and LGBTQ+ visibility.

🚪 Doors open at 6:00 PM

This is an open invitation to our entire community. We are committed to creating a safe and affirming space for the LGBTQ+ community and allies to gather, reflect, and support one another.

Because of the sensitive nature of the film, a crisis counselor will be available by phone during the event for anyone who may need support.

Love Was Never a Crime. We remember and you're never forgotten L💚

Please join us for a special Black History Month/ Valentines Day event screening of the Documentary 'Valentine Road' on Friday February 13th from 6-9pm at the Elks Lodge in Oxnard CA |Free Event|

This project is an independently hosted, educational screening based on true events that happened in Oxnard on Feb 13 2008.
PLEASE NOTE** The Screening might be triggering and sensitive to some viewers. Mental health support as well as a panel for discussion will be available. Coffee will also be provided. Please bring your own water.

The organizers do not claim ownership of the stories depicted and do not speak on behalf of any individuals, families, or parties involved. The event is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. This event is held with respect for those impacted and with the intention of fostering awareness, learning, mourning and community dialogue.
