Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there, and to the dads who fill both roles. 💐

Today, we celebrate the incredible mothers of our MAS team. Our team members are leaders, professionals, students, volunteers, and community members but above all, they are mothers.

A special Happy Mother’s Day to our Co-Founders/Co-Executive Directors and mother-daughter duo, Maria & Sulema Martinez, our President Alma Carmona, and Board Member Cynthia Rodriguez.

We’re excited to share a glimpse of the incredible leaders behind this year’s Cinco de Mayo celebration! 🎉

Pictured here are board members from One Othello and MAS—working together to bring culture, community, and celebration to Othello.

Last Saturday, both organizations were honored to receive funding from Rural Development Initiatives. MAS will be using this support to bring mental health workshops in both English and Spanish—creating access and support for more families in our community.

Together, we continue to build something meaningful for Othello. 💙

We at MAS are truly grateful for our partnership with One Othello and all the good we’re creating side by side. Stay tuned—Cinco de Mayo is going to be something special! 🌟

¡Estamos emocionados de compartir un vistazo de los increíbles líderes detrás de la celebración de Cinco de Mayo de este año! 🎉

We’re excited to share that MAS will be present at The Lighthouse in Othello, WA on March 23, where they will be speaking about growing up in the digital age.
If you haven’t already signed up, we encourage you to do so! We’ll be sharing information about the resources and support MAS offers, as well as ways you can get involved through volunteer opportunities.
A big thank you to The Lighthouse for thinking of us and inviting us to be part of this important conversation it truly means a lot to us. We’re looking forward to connecting with our community!

If you’ve wanted beginner-level help with screen time, social media concerns, or device settings, this evening is for you. There will be a time of discussion and sharing after viewing the movie. Come learn tips and/or share what's worked for you--let's learn from each other how to protect our children.

On Monday and Tuesday, our co-founders and co-directors, Sulema and Maria Martinez, had the honor of being invited to the Innovia Community Leadership Summit.

Sulema has been working closely with Innovia to help bring heart and soul into our community, and this summit was another step forward in that mission. While there, they connected with inspiring leaders from across Adams County who share the same passion for making a difference.

Together, we are committed to working hand in hand to bring more opportunities, resources, and positive change to Othello and Ritzville. We are truly excited for what’s ahead!

As we’ve always said, nonprofits working together is what makes our community stronger. 💙

El lunes y martes, nuestras cofundadoras y codirectoras, Sulema y Maria Martinez, tuvieron el honor de ser invitadas al Innovia Community Leadership Summit.

Sulema ha estado trabajando de cerca con Innovia para ayudar a traer corazón y alma a nuestra comunidad, y esta cumbre fue otro paso importante en esa misión. Durante el evento, tuvieron la oportunidad de conectarse con líderes inspiradores de todo el condado de Adams que comparten la misma pasión por hacer una diferencia.

Juntos, estamos comprometidos a trabajar mano a mano para traer más oportunidades, recursos y cambios positivos a Othello y Ritzville. ¡Estamos muy emocionados por lo que viene!

We are incredibly grateful and excited to support the Holiday Committee as they prepare for this year’s Easter celebration. Easter is such an important event for the community of Othello, bringing families together and creating joyful memories for children and residents across our city. It means a lot to us at MAS to be able to contribute and be part of something that brings our community closer.

We are proud to donate to help support this wonderful event, and we are even more excited to share that MAS members will also be volunteering the day of the celebration. Our team will be there to help however we can, working alongside the Holiday Committee to make sure the event is successful and enjoyable for everyone who attends.

At MAS, we truly believe that nonprofits supporting other nonprofits is what helps build stronger, healthier communities. When organizations come together with the shared goal of giving back, amazing things can happen for the people we serve.

A very special thank you to Tania for welcoming us and allowing MAS to be part of this meaningful event. We look forward to working together and celebrating with the Othello community.

Together, we can continue building a community that supports, uplifts, and cares for one another. 💛🐣🌸




Estamos muy felices y agradecidos de poder apoyar al Holiday Committee con una donación para la celebración de Pascua. Este es un evento muy importante para la comunidad de Othello, ya que reúne a familias, niños y residentes para compartir momentos de alegría y convivencia.

En MAS creemos firmemente en la importancia de apoyar las actividades que fortalecen nuestra comunidad. Por eso nos llena de orgullo poder contribuir a esta celebración que cada año trae felicidad a tantas familias.

También nos complace anunciar que miembros de MAS estarán presentes el día del evento como voluntarios para apoyar al Holiday Committee. Nuestro equipo estará ayudando en lo que sea necesario para que la celebración sea un éxito y todos los asistentes puedan disfrutar de un día especial.

On Friday night, our two Co-Founders/Co-Executive Directors Maria and Sulema Martinez had the opportunity to show up and support the Othello Chamber of Commerce! ✨

MAS was proud to donate a basket full of goodies for the auction — congratulations to the lucky winner Blaine De La Torre, Realtor RE/MAX Northwest Realtors who got to take it home! 🎉🧺

Our founders had such a great time connecting with community leaders and spending time with our good friends at OIC of Washington. Events like these are not only fun, but they’re also a powerful way to build relationships and continue getting MAS’s name out into the community.

We’re grateful to be part of spaces that celebrate growth, collaboration, and local impact. 💛

El viernes por la noche, nuestras dos Co-Fundadoras/Co-Directoras Ejecutivas Maria y Sulema Martinez tuvieron la oportunidad de asistir y apoyar a la Cámara de Comercio de Othello. ✨

MAS tuvo el orgullo de donar una canasta llena de sorpresas para la subasta — ¡felicidades a ganadora que se la llevó a casa! 🎉🧺

Nuestras fundadoras disfrutaron mucho el evento, conectando con líderes de la comunidad y compartiendo con nuestros buenos amigos de OIC of Washington. Este tipo de eventos no solo son divertidos, sino que también son una excelente oportunidad para fortalecer relaciones y seguir dando a conocer el nombre de MAS en la comunidad.
