Rotary Club of Oshkosh on the Water - D6270 Rotary Club of Oshkosh on the Water (D6270) is a hybrid Rotary club. Members meet online and in person. All are welcome. The First Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

The Rotary Club of Oshkosh on the Water (f.k.a. The Rotary EClub of Northeast Wisconsin) is hybrid Rotary Club. Our schedule meets the busy schedule of many, balancing family, work and social commitments. All meeting dates and how to attend live or via the web will be in the Calendar. Please click on Calendar in the menu bar above. Our club is currently only meeting online. will be a Live Streamin

g Speaker, a link for live participation is in the Calendar on our webpage or in our FB Page events.The Live Streaming Meeting will be recorded to allow you participate when you can OR can be used as a make up meeting for any Rotarian. The Second Thursday is a Facebook Discussion Group as a Club Business meeting, the Discussion Group is open all week 24 hours a day allowing maximum flexibility to participate. The Third Thursday will be a Face-to-Face meeting at Beckets. This is a time for fellowship and networking for Club members as well as a great way to do a make up meeting for any Rotarian. The Fourth Thursday will be another Facebook Discussion Group open to the public, see details in our Calendar section above along with a link to the Discussion Group. Topics will be related to Rotary, our community or our service projects. When there is a Fifth Thursday we do a quick, hands-on service project. This , we celebrate a milestone in science and humanity. ASM is proud to name the University of Pittsburgh a Milestones in Microbiology site—honoring Jonas Salk and his team at the Virus Research Laboratory (1948–1955), where they developed the world’s first safe and effective polio vaccine. Licensed in 1955, the vaccine reduced paralytic polio in the U.S. by 96% within a few years and changed the course of global health.

At today’s celebration and ceremony, ASM officially recognized the University’s designation and highlighted the newly opened Salk Legacy Exhibit, which chronicles the research and innovation that led to this historic breakthrough.
