Want to make a real difference without overcomplicating your schedule? LEAP is looking for volunteers to support our equine-assisted programs — and no experience is required. If you enjoy being outside, staying active, and helping others, you’ll fit right in.

At LEAP, every therapeutic ride is built on teamwork between the horse, the rider, and our amazing volunteers. Each one plays an important role in creating a safe, encouraging, and successful experience.

Our horses provide trust and calm, our riders bring courage and determination, and our volunteers offer steady support every step of the way. Together, they create something truly special — confidence grows, connections deepen, and progress happens one ride at a time.

When you donate to LEAP, you donate to kids like this sweet guy! 💙

So what do our participants do when it’s too muddy to ride in the arena? We have unmounted lessons and games!

Marcus worked hard yesterday to control his frustrations and adjust to routine change. Didn’t take him long before he started having fun grooming his horse, then playing the “Sticker Game”.

Kim tries to make lessons challenging and end on a fun game. So, Marcus did lots of stretches and bending down while grooming, successfully sounded out 1st letters of horse parts and sequencing with numbers, then finished off the lesson leading horse around obstacles. And of course, the grand finale - giving horse a treat in their bucket!

What a beautiful day! ☀️

The therapy horses are looking forward to seeing their riders soon!

Starting this Monday, we will be doing our Therapeutic Horse Rides weekly again!

Kim will be reaching out to our riders that have submitted their forms, if you haven’t heard from her by this weekend, reach out to us.
