Belonging Together: Strengthening Teams and Communities is Volusia Pride's interactive diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) training designed to help participants better understand themselves, one another, and the systems that shape our communities and workplaces. Through guided discussion, reflection, and practical examples, participants gain tools to foster stronger relationships, improve communication, and create environments where people from all backgrounds can thrive.

LGBTQ+ residents and students in Volusia county, you are invited to participate in a survey by Volusia Pride in collaboration with Stetson University about the experiences and needs of LGBTQ+ individuals in Volusia County!

This survey will be up for the next two months, and it is anonymous. Responses will be used to inform future programming.

You must be 18 years of age or older and live or go to school in Volusia County to participate. The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete and you may skip any question or stop at any time.

Through a generous donation made in memory of David Taulbee, Volusia Pride is proud to announce the launch of the David Taulbee Memorial Scholarship for the Fall 2026 semester.

Created to honor David Taulbee’s legacy of creativity and advocacy, this program invests in the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders, artists, and changemakers through both a scholarship and fellowship opportunity.

Eligibility:

This scholarship is intended to support LGBTQ+ students enrolled in either an Associate of Arts (A.A.) planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in an eligible program related to culinary arts, dance, fine arts, hospitality, interior design, music, theatre, or voice or be pursuing a related Associate of Science Degree (A.S.) or Certificate Program.

Applicants must:

Be enrolled at Daytona State College or Seminole State College for the Fall 2026 semester

Be pursuing an eligible A.A or A.S. degree or certificate program

Be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 GPA

Identify as LGBTQ+ or be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community*

Applicants should also demonstrate creativity, passion for their field, and a commitment to fostering belonging, inclusion, and community through their work.

Get ready for a night of epic showdowns, legendary looks, and unforgettable fun at Lake Helen Pride Prom 2026!

Join us on tonight from 7:00–10:00 PM at Hopkins Hall for a themed prom where heroes and villains take the dance floor. Whether you channel a Disney icon, a Marvel powerhouse, a Pixar favorite, or your own heroic or villainous alter ego, costumes and creative prom looks are highly encouraged.

Tickets are $20 and the event is 18+ only.
Admission includes access to the prom, DJ’d music, dancing, free snack food, a themed photo opportunity, and hosted entertainment by Kirk with free tip-able performances from All the Queen's Men throughout the evening.

Guests will also have the chance to compete for special honors, including the 2026 Gem of the Year sash and being crowned Prom King and Queen, complete with a special crowning moment and dance.
