📖 History Talks

🎃48 Years of Frights Began Here!

As the Orange City Sorosis Club prepares for our 48th Annual Haunted House this October, we looked back through our archives and discovered scrapbook pages, newspaper clippings, and photographs from the very beginning of what has become a community tradition!

Wishing the old monastery was still around!! Who remembers acting or attending our first haunts???

These memories from around 1977-1978 remind us of the volunteers, creativity, and community spirit that helped build an event that continues nearly five decades later!!

👻 Here's to preserving our history while creating new memories for future generations.

🎃 Save the Date!
Sorosis Club’s 48th Annual Haunted House is coming soon and Awakening your Nightmares is this years theme!

This beloved event is 100% created, designed, built & run by our women’s club and wonderful community volunteers. Swipe to see our Sorosis Ladies working with teens and other local women, mentoring, creating, and having fun together! We turn found items and imagination into scares with creativity and heart.

Whether you have younger kids who can’t work the event yet, or you’re simply looking for a welcoming women’s group… this is a great way to get to know us!

Who can volunteer?
✅High school students needing community service hours
✅Teens who want to create, act, and have fun with friends
✅Parents who want to volunteer one or more of our 6 nights alongside their child
✅Ladies: come see what sisterhood and making a difference looks like all year long

🦋No pressure to join our women’s club, but moms — we’d love it if you did!
