The Mississippi Roses (MS) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is honored to highlight the extraordinary career of Misty Copeland this Women’s History Month.

In 2022, Misty Copeland became the 12th honorary member of The Links, Incorporated under the leadership og 17th National President Kimberly Jefrries Leonard, Ph.D.

As the first Black principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, she broke barriers in ballet and motivated a new generation to envision themselves on stage. Her talent, perseverance, and advocacy keep paving the way for dancers worldwide.

The Mississippi Roses (MS) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is honored to highlight the extraordinary career of Condoleezza Rice this Women’s History Month.

Condoleezza Rice became the 10th honorary member of The Links, Incorporated in 2013, under the leadership of 15th National President Margot James Copeland.

A trailblazer in diplomacy, education, and public service, she made history as the first Black woman to serve as U.S. Secretary of State and continues to inspire generations of leaders. Her commitment to leadership, global engagement, and expanding opportunities for women and girls reminds us what’s possible when determination meets purpose.

March is National Kidney Month-a time to raise awareness about kidney disease and its impact on millions of Americans.
In recognition of National Kidney Month, the Mississippi Roses (MS) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, will host a FREE, fun-filled Kidney Awareness & Black Wellness Expo focused on education, research, and community wellness.
Because Black Americans are disproportionately affected by kidney disease and kidney failure, this is a conversation we must continue year-round.
Join us for Zumba with ,storytime with kidney transplant advocate , and line dancing with the Hickory Hill Sizzlers—spread the word and plan to attend! The registration link is in the bio.

February is American Heart Month and everyone is welcome on Wednesday, February 11 at 12:15 pm ET/11:15 am CT for our HeartLinks Lunch and Learn: Food is Medicine for the Heart.

This Lunch & Learn explores food as medicine, highlighting how everyday nutrition choices can protect the heart while addressing the root causes of diabetes and obesity. Attendees will leave empowered to use food intentionally as a powerful tool for prevention, healing, and long-term heart health.
