Last night was pure magic! 🔮✨

A big thank you to everyone who made our Cats & Cards event with the incredible Becca Starr a completely sold out success! The energy in the lounge was absolutely amazing, and our cats loved joining in on the mystical vibes. It was especially wonderful to see a few of our newer cats comfortable and coming out of their shells!

We are so grateful to Becca for sharing her incredible talents with us, and to our wonderful community for showing up to support us. If you missed out on reserving a spot last night, stay tuned - we are already brewing up ideas for the next one!💜

Kitty Spotlight- Toby 🖤🤍

With so many of our long-timers recently getting adopted, Toby now holds the title of longest cat at the cafe.

He came to us in January after being abandoned. Discarded, unwanted, thrown out - it is unfortunately an all too familiar scenario these days. Neglect goes beyond basic survival needs. The emotional toll it can take on these cats is truly devastating. 💔

So why has Toby been here for so long, and what’s wrong with him? At seven years old, Toby falls into the category of “less adoptable“ and that may be a contributing factor. But there is nothing wrong with him! For six years of his life, he had a person and a routine. Then overnight he found himself thrown out and having to adjust to life in a confined space with unfamiliar people. At first, he seemed to do well here, but as time went on, we could tell the cafe environment was causing him stress resulting in him not getting along with the other cats. We get it - the busy cafe environment with cats coming and going is not for everyone - human and feline alike!

What we can tell you about Toby is that he is highly intelligent and very affectionate, and he has so much love to give to the right person. We think he’d do best in a home as an only cat, but that’s just our observation based on his current environment that is stressful for him.

We know that there is somebody out there for this wonderful tuxedo gentleman, and we need your help! Please share widely so he can finally find his forever home! ❤️🏡✨

Our sweet, shy girl Freckles managed to land herself in another galaxy…🚀✨

Now known as Snips, she is thriving and gaining confidence every single day in her new forever home. We applaud adopters like Chad and Joanne who are willing to give a shy cat the time, patience and love they need to come out of their shell. We look forward to hearing about all her new adventures. May the force be with Snips! 🌌🛸!

This is not just another adoption post about a black cat at Halloween…🎃🐈‍⬛

Aslan, our beautiful black panther, was running out of time at animal control. On top of that, he had special dietary needs and did not mix well with other cats at the cafe - three strikes against him finding a forever home.

That did not deter Brenna! She believed in Aslan the same way we did, and he has been thriving since day one in his forever home. We applaud adopters like her who are willing to take a chance on a less adoptable cat!

After two years of watching countless other cats go home to their forever families, our last flower has finally been picked! Zinnia’s new family saw past her standoffish exterior and understood that the cafe setting was not her favorite. They fell in love with the independent, intuitive and affectionate girl she truly is. ✨

For over a year, Howard has been one of our favorite cats. Because of a rough background, he needed a special kind of love where he could feel safe and learn to trust again.

We are so grateful to Sue & Lenny, two incredible returning adopters who hold a very special place in our hearts, for giving our brave boy his perfect ending. 🏡✨

And then there was one…🥺 Meet Soy - the last remaining kitten of the Milk litter. One by one, he watched his mom and siblings leave with their forever families.

We are always heartbroken when there is one kitten left, but it was deeply touching to watch as his cafe buddies, who sensed his sadness, embraced him. That helped him and us! ❤️

Now it’s time for Soy to pack up his toys and go to his forever family! Please share his story to help him find his happily ever after. 🐈‍⬛✨
