🎩 The community here at Backstage Players is highly motivated to provide access to the performing arts in our city 💛

The organizations we partner with are full of incredible volunteers, staff, parents, and students! Making meaningful connections that last is a core facet of our mission. Progress isn’t always loud, but it can be incredibly meaningful!
We hope you will consider volunteering your time with us, we would love to meet you!

“I knew the first day we walked into NW optimist that this was a special place that would be in our lives for a long time. This is a place where my kid gets to thrive as herself. I really love and appreciate the environment that has been created to encourage individuality and true self expression. My daughter has flourished and I thank everyone involved for creating this community.”

🎩 One of the main ways we provide support to our partner organizations is by making sure the staff have all the extra bits and bobs that they need to put on magical productions. From set design supplies to costumes, makeup, art supplies, dance shoes, and even headsets, our mission is to keep the staff and students comfortable and prepared 💛

🎩 We are an organization born from a parent community at one of our partner organizations, Northwest Optimist Performing Arts Center 💛

Supporting the staff and students in all their endeavors is very personal to us. We want to see the performing arts community across our whole city thrive and grow in the direction of inclusivity and accessibility.

We have recently expanded our efforts and can now proudly say that we provide our support to
Sellers Performing Arts Center.

The staff at this center has been working hard behind the scenes to bring new programs to life for our city to partake in and enjoy. Maybe you caught their run of RENT? Or maybe your child will be attending a dance class? Or an acting class?
Whatever the program, the Backstage Players will be there to provide support!
