Merchants of Oak Ridge is a non-profit organization led by a total of 5-10 Board Members, Including a President & Vice-Presidents. Our members, which represent a diverse group of over 50 local businesses located in and near the Oak Ridge community, include bankers, restaurant owners, retailers and many other business and organizational professionals. Our association’s slogan is a simple one – “Bus

iness in one with Community” – and we take it to heart. Since our inception, we have earned a reputation for sponsoring events that unite the commercial and residential residents within and surrounding the Oak Ridge community. Throughout the year our members donate thousands of hours of their time to ensure that these events are well organized, enjoyable and successful. As a result of our sponsored events we are financially self-sufficient, and are also able to support other non-profit organizations such as the Oak Ridge Youth Association and the Oak Ridge Military Academy. Members reap the rewards of networking opportunities, support from fellow business professionals, educational and professional enrichment and the satisfaction of helping promote a sense of community within the town of Oak Ridge.

Get ready for a morning of big wheels and even bigger smiles! 🚛💨

The Merchants of Oak Ridge are excited to support our neighbors, the Kiwanis Club of Kernersville, for their upcoming Touch-A-Truck & More event! This is a fantastic, free community day where the kids can get up-close with their favorite heavy machinery and emergency vehicles.

Sensory Friendly Hour: 10 AM – 11 AM (Perfect for those who prefer a quieter environment without sirens or loud horns!)

🎓 Attention Northwest Guilford High School Seniors!

Are you a 2026 graduate looking for a boost for your college journey? The Merchants of Oak Ridge are proud to announce that applications for our $5,000 scholarship are now open!

We are looking for students who have demonstrated outstanding academic and personal achievements and show promise of becoming the next generation of business or community leaders.

What You Need to Know:
-One scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to a 2026 NWHS graduate.
-Must be a graduating senior in good standing at Northwest Guilford High School.
-All materials must be received by Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

Requirements:
Application form, an essay (max 500 words), high school résumé, mid-year transcripts, and two letters of recommendation.
