Troop 600 (www.scoutdude.com) puts the outing in Scouting. This weekend, we headed to West Virginia for whitewater rafting. Each month, we take a weekend trip planned by the Scout and full of adventure.

Tonight, Troop 600 (www.scoutdude.com) proudly celebrated an incredible milestone as we sent off 9 high school graduates on their next adventures.

Among these outstanding young men are 8 Eagle Scouts and 1 soon-to-be Eagle Scout, a testament to their dedication, leadership, perseverance, and service to others.

We are honored to have been part of their journey and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the years ahead.

Congratulations, graduates! Your Troop 600 family is proud of you and wishes you success wherever life takes you next.

Each Memorial Day at 3:00 p.m. local time, Troop 600 (www.scoutdude.com) participates in Taps Across America and the National Moment of Remembrance. Established by Congress in 2000, the moment of remembrance is a time for all Americans to pause for one minute in silent tribute to the fallen. Troop 600 layers the 24-note melody of "Taps" at the end of this collective silence, transforming a quiet nationwide pause into a powerful, shared monument of sound.

Troop 600 families, past and present, are invited to join us tomorrow night as we celebrate 20 years of Scouting.

We’ll gather at Oak Ridge Presbyterian at 6:30 PM for an evening of reflection, connection, and looking ahead together. Members of our founding cohort will be with us as we celebrate the journey that has shaped our troop over two decades.

One of the highlights of the evening will be honoring the traditions that earned Troop 600 the name “The Troop of Servant Leaders.” From community service projects to acts of quiet support behind the scenes, these moments have defined who we are.
