Father's Day was celebrated across Jewish Senior Life with good food, great company, and plenty of appreciation for the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have enriched our lives.

At Hechtman Apartments, residents and guests gathered for a festive Father's Day party filled with laughter, friendship, and community. Meanwhile, at Meer Apartments, dads enjoyed a special Father's Day brunch as we honored the men whose wisdom, guidance, and love continue to inspire generations.

Hechtman Apartments was honored to celebrate Juneteenth with a truly special guest performer, Samuel Brown, husband of Hechtman Housekeeper Susie Brown.

Through powerful storytelling, music, and personal experiences, Samuel brought the history and significance of Juneteenth to life, connecting its lessons to the world we live in today. His engaging presentation inspired thoughtful conversation, reflection, and appreciation among residents and families alike.

Thank you, Samuel, for sharing your talent, wisdom, and passion with our community. It was an unforgettable afternoon of learning, remembrance, and celebration.

What a beautiful celebration of life, legacy, and community.

On Friday, Jewish Senior Life proudly hosted the 25th Annual Bessie Spector z'l Oldest Jewish Americans Celebration, honoring members of our community who are 95 years young and older. Together with family, friends, and supporters, we gathered to recognize a remarkable generation whose resilience, wisdom, and contributions helped shape the vibrant Jewish community we enjoy today.

From heartfelt moments and shared memories to music, laughter, and a Broadway sing-along led by Hazzan Gross, the day was filled with joy and gratitude.

To our honorees: thank you for your leadership, your stories, and the lasting impact you continue to make on our community. It was our privilege to celebrate you.

Summer is in full swing at Jewish Senior Life!

Residents at Hechtman recently enjoyed an afternoon of friendly competition with classic summer yard games, including giant Connect 4 and co****le, followed by our first Ice Cream Social of the season.

The event featured live music from Rick Davis, plenty of sweet treats, and what matters most... great friends, laughter, and time spent together. From outdoor games to singing along with familiar favorites, it was a wonderful way to celebrate the start of summer.

At JSL, every season brings new opportunities to connect, stay active, and enjoy life together.

From chart-topping hits to the stories behind the music, the program celebrated one of America's most iconic performers while bringing residents together through shared memories, conversation, and a love of music.
