MISSION STATEMENT

To rescue abandoned dogs from high kill shelters, in underserved areas and in the surrounding community and finding them adoptive homes in the NW. A “no kill”, foster-based, all-breed dog rescue, focused on providing compassionate, kind rescue and rehabilitation for dogs in need of loving homes. Our application process is as follows: Inquire via messaging - fill out app - we mat

ch you to a dog - we give you the foster's contact info and you set up meet and greets with them. If everyone thinks it's a love match, you have a new family member! We cannot possibly answer all phone calls so messaging us via FB is best!

$50 application fee applies at time of app. DONATE Streetsavvydogrescue.org

If approved to adopt this can be applied to any of our dogs within the next year!

Here's an informal training video with my dog Duncan...

Working on:

1- "Come" w verbal cue, used clicker to mark
2- Sit- w visual cue
3- "find it" w verbal cue
4- "leave it" w verbal cue #

When he didn't successfully leave it I turned once again to a sit cue so we could get a successfully shaped behavior THEN tried "leave it" again with another verbal cue and he did much better.

FOSTER HOME FOUND!

BIG SWEET BOY, very docile and sweet Carmen fna Tyson who was adopted from SSDR 2.5 yrs ago beginning on Sat Aug 29th!

Carmen is great with other animals and people and he's now a bit over 3 yrs old.

His owner has fallen on hard times and is getting evicted from his apt. He lost his job....very sad indeed.

And yes, he's 100 lbs! According to his former owner he's been overfed the past 7 months and gained 30 lbs so he'll need to trim down to an ideal weight of around 70lbs.

🐾🌈🐾🌈🐾🌈Meet beautiful Gigi!🐾🌈🐾🌈🐾🌈

Gigi is the perfect sized companion at 38 lbs, very polite and well-mannered and is dog friendly and loves kids as well!

At approximately 2.5 she's well beyond that pesky puppy and teen brain stage! Lol.

She does great meeting friendly dogs off leash and is learning about living in the city and is making friends with Fergus, formally Guava a SSDR alum foster brother in her SE foster home!

Found on the streets in a town near Guadalajara Mexico she was rescued by our pals Perrisimos en GDL and can be seen in recent videos taken during my recent trip!

Super smart and redirectable, this girl will be a great addition to any family.

About me:
At 8 pounds, I am just an adorable tiny cuddlebug with big terrier attitude! My foster mommy says I can be a little crazy with my super fast zoomies first thing in the morning, but thats only because I'm excited to start a new day.
I like meeting new people but I can get a bit growly if I get startled.
I like other dogs for the most part, but if i am next to my person and another dog wants their attention I get a little growly then to.
I met a couple of cats and have decided they are definitely NOT for me, I will chase them.
Other than that, I'm spayed, up to date on shots, and crate trained.

DOG BEDS NEEDED!

🚦Will you help us raise funds so that Romans's shelter dogs in Guadalajara Mexico can receive much-needed doggy cot beds?

🚦Instead of sleeping on hard cement they could be enjoying a comfortable dog cot. You've seen the videos. LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!

🚦His rescue cannot afford these special dog cots so we'd like to fund raise and send his nonprofit the $ to buy them!

🚦We've looked up the prices on Costco.Mx and on Amazon and they run around $25- 35 apiece. Post prices are shown in pesos.
