Check out one of our immersive interns!🌟 This is a great way for students to take a deep dive into 2 areas of regenerative agriculture that interest them the most!

Samantha Schexnayder has worked diligently the last 4 weeks in Marketing and Agritourism to assist with farm camps and prepare educational resources for farm guests and students. Also working with the livestock team occasionally, she has shown great flexibility and an eagerness to learn new things. Keep up the good work! 👩‍🌾👩‍🏫

Check out our second year intern - Rebecca Clark! Each year we welcome back a second year intern to dive deep into one department and develop in-depth skills related to their future career. Rebecca is working with agritourism to deepen her teaching & education skills as she will be a middle school ag teacher this Fall! Congrats to Rebecca on continuing to be an agriculture educator!👩‍🏫

Rebecca joined us last year in agritourism, hospitality, and livestock departments. This year she returned to the agritourism department and has been such a big help. From farm camp & tours to learning Canva & website development, Rebecca has demonstrated amazing teaching & learning capabilities. Way to go! 🐔🍎

Check out one of our experiential interns! This is a great way for students to see what facets of regenerative agriculture they could see themselves doing for a career.

Katie Green has been hard at work with the land management team! She has spent her time mowing, weed-eating, mulching, and getting the land ready for the JAMS festivals. She has demonstrated a hard work ethic and a positive personality. Way to go! 🌳🚜

🌱🚜 Learning by doing! Wednesday, our interns visited Central Carolina Community College for a hands-on experience in equipment handling/maintenance and sustainable vegetable production. From exploring innovative growing practices to completing equipment training, they rolled up their sleeves and gained real-world agricultural skills—including learning how to safely operate a tractor and a BCS tiller.

Experiences like these help grow the next generation of agricultural leaders by connecting classroom learning with hands-on practice. 🌾💚 Thank you to Central Carolina Community College for investing in agricultural education and helping our interns build confidence in the field!
