Friends of North Miami Library Advocate for library patrons, staff, volunteers and citizens. Raise funds for programs, materials and services that enhance intergenerational literacy.

The founders and members are everyday users of the Library, your neighbors. The Friends play an important advocacy role, especially as regards funding issues. Friends advocate for the North Miami

Public Library patrons, staff, volunteers, and citizens by raising funds to purchase reading materials, equipment, supplies, refreshments, field trips, professional services, and free to the public programs that enhance intergenerational literacy. This 30 year old organization has a 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service. Donations are tax deductible and an official letter of receipt will be sent to each donor. The North Miami Public Library will be closed on FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2026, and SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.
Regular library hours will resume on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Services Available:
Driver's License Renewal, Replacement & Reinstatement- ID Original and Renewal - Car Registration Renewal - Organ Donor & Restriction Updates - Handicap Permit Renewal & Application.
Some services are FREE for those enrolled in DCF, Access Florida Benefits, or meeting poverty-level income requirements!
What to Bring: Valid ID documents and proof of address (must be dated within 60 days). Walk-Ins are welcome.
