🎪 It’s time for our FIRST meeting of the NEW fiscal year! We will be going over, and approving our budget for the upcoming year as well as discussing fundraising, props, and lots more stuff to kick off the new band year. We would love to see some new faces joining us tonight! We’re a really fun group, promise!! Fresh, new ideas are always welcome. And you don’t even need to leave your house!!

Huge shoutout to Chartley Country Store today!! They graciously donated deeply discounted burgers for our annual band camp cookout celebration this afternoon! These kids have been hard at work all week long putting together this year’s halftime show, and we had the perfect ending to the perfect week with their fresh, delicious burgers! Thank you Chartley’s! We appreciate you and your generosity in helping celebrate these amazing kids!

As you all know these kids have been working HARD this week. We are so excited for Friday's performance at 3:00 in the band parking lot.
We will be closing out the week with our annual cookout. Below are the links to bring a dish & help during the cookout.

Also, if everyone can bring a case of water that would be great. We use this throughout the season for parades and events.

🔊 HEY DRMB…. ARE YOU READY FOR WAR???

A very friendly war is going down this week at BAND CAMP… a penny war!!

Each morning, jars will be set up in the hallway for individual (or grouped) sections… it’s YOUR job to fill your jar with the most pennies. Each penny gets you one point!
BUUUUUUUUT…. for the WAR part! We know pennies are becoming pretty scarce this day and age… so YOU get to fill OTHER sections jars with bigger coins or bills that make them LOSE points. The bigger the coin or bill, the more points they lose.

Let’s see who can keep themselves the MOST points this week, and who comes in with the least!

The winning section gets PIZZA at the first after school practice 🍕🍕 !

We had a couple requests today for a “prize” for the losers as well… perhaps a pie to the face??

Jars will be set up through Friday… so for those parents, family & friends that will be attending the cookout, you’re welcome to join in on the fun too!! Bring those change purses and wallets! Help your favorite section reach the top!! 💵

The boosters are SO ready to kick off another year with some new, and lots of very familiar faces. We’ve got the gears turning, ideas forming, and opportunities for lots of new volunteers on the horizon!
