Huge congrats to this amazing group of kids, staff, volunteers, etc. We have the absolute best families involved and it’s takes a village. Receiving the Falcon Cup Award tonight, before our last show under the lights for this year, meant so much more than just something to sit up on a shelf. The meaning behind the falcon cup - from inclusion, to belonging - embodies everything the DRMB stands for. Everyone involved wants this to be more than just a marching band. And it is! It’s a family. It’s not just a place where anyone and everyone can be included, but where they also feel that they belong! There is a place for everyone in the DRMB and we’re so glad that everyone’s efforts were recognized tonight. Way to go DRMB. This is so very much deserved by each and every one of you. Thank you Mr. Runey for the recognition! 💚💛

Congratulations to our seniors & their families. They were recognized in a short ceremony before this past Friday’s home football game. We appreciate your time and dedication to the DRMB, whether one year, or 7! You are paving the way for the future generations of the DRMB and you are setting a GREAT example! We hope your senior year is a year of memorable “lasts” that last a lifetime!

Shoutout to today’s volunteers up who traveled with the DRMB up to Woburn for their Halloween parade. It was a hot one today, but y’all kept these kids fed, hydrated and moving! Thanks for everything you do for these kids! Marching 2 miles, in full uniform, in the blaring sun is NOT an easy feat. But your presence helped make the day just a bit more bearable!!

For our final event of the weekend, we headed down to New Bedford to participate in the New England Scholastic Bands Association competition - aka NESBA. This great group took home SILVER in the festival class! What an incredible way to end an incredibly long weekend. It made the early mornings, late nights, and all the rain worth it. If you haven’t caught them in the stands, on the field, or on the road yet, they’ll be making an appearance at the Dighton Arts Festival on Sunday!! Go check them out and show your favorite hometown band some love! Thanks to our super fast prop movers and loaders today! No points deducted for going over time!! 💛💚
