Among the association’s many goals is to work to improve community awareness of the good work of our members, especially the service they perform that the association believes only well trained, experienced firefighters could adequately provide. To prevent any appearance of interfering in the operations or administration of the North Charleston Fire Department and prevent any misunderstanding with the community the NCPFA has decided that the association will not post original incident images or videos if the association is aware they were captured by employees of the City of North Charleston, unless said images or photographs are specifically released by an authorized official of the City of North Charleston. Additionally, original photographs or videos of an incident will not be posted by any employee of the City of North Charleston who is “on duty” at the time of posting or by any employee of the City of North Charleston who responded to the event in question. The association respectfully requests that anyone having information that would aid NCPFA in maintaining compliance with this policy please notify the association immediately.
