Hey friends! We have some amazing news to share. During Amplify Austin, your generosity helped us raise $4,413.95 in donations!

The excitement didn’t stop there because we also brought in some extra wins via the Austin Creative Alliance:

❤️ $750 for 2nd place in "Most Donors" overall.

❤️ $250 for 1st place in "Most Donors" during the Power Hour.

❤️ $236.84 in bonus funds from the ACA Power Hour pool!

This brings our grand total to $5,368.25 (after fees etc.) Since we weren't able to produce shows last year, seeing this level of support means the world to us. We’re so grateful you’ve stuck by us!

🙏 Huge thanks to these incredible people who helped make it happen:

Well, we're coming to the end of Amplify Austin, and we are so grateful to all of you that have come on this journey with us.

The last show that we produced before our hiatus last year was The Ghosts of Christmas Past at Pioneer Farms. A funny, spooky trip through the tradition of telling ghost stories at Christmas, it left us with some wonderful memories and and an enduring fondness for Santa/Krampus battles.

You still have a few minutes left if you want to make a donation inside the Amplify Austin window. Don't worry if you miss 6 PM though because any time you make a donation, it comes straight to us.

Thank you for everything you do. We are so grateful.

Raven-Winged Hours was an amazing show, but it took a lot out of us. We had programmed The Three Musketeers for our next season and we knew that creating this a show that large would take everything we had. So we decided not to do a Christmas show and focus on returning to the 17th century.

And it was so worth it. The Three Musketeers script was translated and adapted by Jennifer Rose Davis and actors like Phillip Smith, Tyler Jones, Diego Arroyo Aceves, and Bruce Gutierrez translated the script into an uproarious comedy-action adventure. It was a visual feast, and epic in every sense of the word.

You can help make our shows this season create their own magic by donating through our Amplify Austin Fundraiser. Check the comments for the donation link.

Our next thanks go out to Suzanne Orzech. Suzanne has been such a cheerleader for us in the last few years and it's a huge encouragement to be around her. Thanks so much for trusting us, Suzanne, and for your generous donation.

After A Sherlock Holmes Christmas, we had to take a little creative reset and figure out where we wanted to go. Jennifer Rose Davis had come up with an idea early on to do a show about Edgar Allan Poe, and with help from Adriana Fontánez, Lynn Beaver, and Chris Fontanes Poe came to life in an amazing way.

Raven Winged Hours: An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe was one of the most creative, visually rich, and compelling shows that we have every created thanks mostly to Chris Fontanes our guest director and amazing actors like Joe Kelley, Travis Hedges Williams, Merrick Millburn, Julius Alums, and Gina Houston (pictured here).

We had such a huge success with our Macbeth in 2023 that we came out of the show on fire with ideas and energy. Jennifer Rose Davis suggested that we do a Christmas show, found a Sherlock Holmes Christmas story, and had a script adapted in a week and so we were suddenly doing a Christmas show

A Sherlock Holmes Christmas was absolutely the best Christmas ever. We loved having Damon Brown, Amado deHoyos, Chirst Humphrey, and the whole Brown family joining us for mysterious Victorian hijinks.

We can't wait to go back to the farm this year with Dickens' A Christmas Carol in our own traditionally Victorian version. You can help us get there with a donation through our Amplify Austin fundraiser. Donation link in the comments. It's elementary!

To know our next donor is to immediately fall in love with her. Chris Humphrey has been with us for every single show—either on stage or providing live music—and she is truly our Wonder Woman. We are beyond grateful that she shares her immense talent with us and helps make everything we do possible. A huge thank you to Chris Humphrey for her wonderful donation to Archive Theater.

You know what's cool? When other theatremakers who have their own companies to fundraise for go our and quietly take care of other people. Elizabeth Neuman of Filigree Theatre is one of those people and she is slipping into donation lists all over town today. Thank you so much for your caring, Elizabeth. Thanks for helping us, and helping build up the theatre community.

The incredible Dr. Joe Stephenson, Professor of Language and Literature, is at the very heart of everything we do at Archive Theatre. As a Board Member, Joe has been with us since the very beginning. A world-renowned scholar, Joe plays a vital role in our mission to bring audiences the very best adaptations of classic literature. His expertise, insight, and passion for storytelling help shape the work we share with our community. We are unbelievably fortunate to have Joe in our lives and as part of the Archive Theatre family. No matter where he is, he generously shares his knowledge and wisdom with us. Thank you, Joe, for your generous donation and for the many ways you continue to support and inspire us.
