This October, the Pflugerville Education Foundation is launching our new Home Library Initiative, and we need PFriends like YOU!

Volunteer readers will be paired with a PfISD first-grade classroom and visit just once a month to read with students. And the best part? Each visit, every student will receive a book of their own to take home — helping them build a personal home library throughout the school year. ❤️📖

Every year, a group of individuals raise their hands to help The Pfoundation do what it does: get resources into PfISD classrooms and opportunities into students’ hands.

This year’s board includes sixteen people who show up on days, nights and weekends because they believe in what our teachers and students can do.

We’re grateful to every board member giving their time this year.

💙 Community Partnerships Make a Difference! 💛

The Pflugerville Education Foundation is incredibly grateful for our partnership with Ikea, Round Rock TX. and their generosity in supporting our schools and community.

When the Foundation received a donation of six refrigerators, we wanted to make sure they went where they could have the greatest impact. Eunice Duong, Connally High School Parent Booster and Pflugerville Education Foundation Board Member, shared a need at Connally High School: limited refrigerator space meant concession volunteers were relying on coolers to keep drinks cold.

After touring the facilities and visiting with Associate Principal Scott Ford, it became clear that these refrigerators could support even more students and programs. The Foundation proudly donated all six refrigerators to Connally High School! 🎉

Today, the refrigerators are supporting both the Culinary Department and concession stands, providing much-needed resources that enhance student experiences and make a difference for teachers, staff, volunteers, and families.

A huge THANK YOU to IKEA Round Rock for investing in our community and helping us support the students and staff of Connally High School! Your generosity is making an impact where it matters most. ❤️

We are proud to celebrate Infusion Dance and the Movement Dance Foundation for their generous $3,000 donation to the Pflugerville Education Foundation (PFoundation) in support of Fine Arts students and programs across Pflugerville ISDPflugerville ISD!

This meaningful gift will provide:

🎓 Four $500 Fine Arts Scholarships — one for a graduating senior at each PfISD high school:
• Connally High School
• Hendrickson High School
• Pflugerville High School
• Weiss High School

🎨 $1,000 in additional support for Ballet Folklórico and other Fine Arts initiatives, helping expand opportunities for students to express themselves, celebrate culture, and grow through the arts.

At the heart of this generosity is Dania Hunter, whose passion for dance, education, and service continues to make a lasting impact. As an educator in PfISD and a dedicated member of the Pflugerville community, Dania has become a true staple in our community — investing her time and talents into the next generation both inside and outside the classroom.

📚 Day 2 of the Book Revitalization Initiative! 💙

The excitement continued as Pflugerville ISD, the Pflugerville Education Foundation, and Amazon.com visited three more Pflugerville ISD elementary schools to deliver 200+ new, culturally relevant books to each campus library!

It was inspiring to see the gratitude from principals, teachers, and library staff as they welcomed new titles that will help students discover the joy of reading while seeing themselves reflected in the stories on the shelves.

Day 2 also marked the completion of Amazon's support for the three selected campuses by finalizing the Amazon Teacher Wish Lists, ensuring educators have the classroom supplies they need to kick off a successful new school year.

A huge THANK YOU to Amazon.com for sponsoring the Pflugerville Education Foundation's Book Revitalization Initiative! 🎉

This exciting initiative is helping refresh elementary school libraries by replacing outdated books with new, culturally relevant titles that reflect and inspire our diverse student community.

Thanks to Amazon's generous support, the Pflugerville Education Foundation distributed 2,400 books across 12 Pflugerville ISD elementary schools, making reading more engaging and fun for students.

As an added surprise, Amazon also selected three of the twelve schools to receive classroom supplies through teacher Amazon Wish Lists, providing even more resources to support student success.

Together, we can make a difference! 🎒📚

The Pflugerville Education Foundation (PEF) is proud to partner with Pflugerville ISD Social Work Services and Todd Exley (For the Children) to help ensure our students are prepared for a successful school year.

This year, PEF proudly provided and helped distribute 840 backpacks filled with school supplies to PfISD students, giving them supplies they need to start the school year with confidence.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the entire PfISD Social Work Services team for allowing us to be part of this incredible effort. Your dedication to supporting our students and families makes a lasting impact on our community.
