🎉💙💛 PACK 89 BLUE & GOLD BANQUET 💛💙🎉

What an incredible evening celebrating another outstanding year of Scouting with North Andover Cub Scout Pack 89!

Our annual Blue & Gold Banquet was a chance to recognize the achievements, growth, and hard work of our Scouts. From outdoor adventures and community service projects to Pinewood Derby races, camping trips, and lasting memories, the year was filled with learning, friendship, and fun.

Congratulations to all of our Scouts on earning new adventures, awards, and rank advancements. We are proud of the dedication, enthusiasm, and character each of you demonstrated throughout the year.

We would especially like to recognize our Arrow of Light Den Scouts as they completed their Cub Scout journey. Their adventure continues as they begin a new chapter with Troop 87. They set an excellent example for younger Scouts as they crossed the ceremonial bridge and were welcomed by members of the Troop.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to our leaders, committee members, volunteers, and families. Your support and commitment make our Pack successful and create these valuable opportunities for our Scouts.

Today’s event would not have been possible without the efforts of our Cubmaster and MC, Zach St. Jean; our Blue & Gold Coordinators; Assistant Cubmaster Sean Dunn; Treasurer Greg Hoisington; Webmaster Karl Schwirz; and all the parent volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly.

Thank you to AOL Den Leader Peter Zelic, AOL Assistant Den Leader Connie Chin and Committee Chair and Pinewood Derby Coordinator Dan Leary who have volunteered their time throughout the years and are now moving on to the Troop as well. Pack 89 will sincerely miss you all!

As we close another fantastic Scouting year, we look forward to the adventures ahead this summer and beyond. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year such a success.

Congratulations, Pack 89—we can’t wait to see what next year holds!

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE 🇺🇸

Today, Scouts from Pack 89 and Troop 87 were honored to march alongside our community during North Andover’s Memorial Day Parade in remembrance of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The parade concluded at Ridgewood Cemetery where our Scouts proudly helped open the ceremony by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. It was a meaningful opportunity for our Scouts to show respect, demonstrate patriotism, and reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Thank you to all of the families, leaders, veterans, and community members who participated in today’s events and helped make this tradition so special. Very special thanks to our own Dave Hruban and also to Joe Leblanc of the Veterans Services of North Andover and Boxford.

We remember and honor those who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

WEBELOS FINAL DEN MEETING!

What an incredible way to wrap up the year! Our Webelos had an action-packed final Den Meeting filled with fun, teamwork, and hands-on learning.

The Scouts learned important outdoor and life skills by practicing how to change a bike tire — building confidence and problem-solving skills along the way. They then took on the excitement of zip lining and showed great courage and enthusiasm cheering each other on!

We ended the year gathered around the campfire enjoying skits, laughter, and of course plenty of s’mores. It was a great time celebrating friendships, adventures, and all the growth our Scouts have shown throughout the year.

Thank you to all of our leaders, volunteers, and families for helping make this such a memorable year for our Webelos. We can’t wait to see what adventures await next!

🇺🇸 MEMORIAL DAY PARADE 🇺🇸

Pack 89 is privileged to once again join Veterans Services for North Andover and Boxford in marching in the town’s Memorial Day Parade this year as we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We will meet at the Town Common at 9:45 AM with the parade stepping off promptly at 10:00 AM. Please have your Scout dressed in their Class A uniform for the event.

The parade route will conclude at Ridgewood Cemetery, where the ceremony will open with the Scouts leading the Pledge of Allegiance. The formal ceremony typically lasts about an hour, so please be sure your Scout brings water, as we want everyone to stay hydrated and safe in the warmer weather.

We look forward to representing Pack 89 and taking part in this important community tradition!
