🌲🥾 Webelos & Wolf Den Hike at Weir Hill! 🥾🌲

Our Webelos and Wolf Scouts came together for a fantastic hike at Weir Hill on yesterday! The weather was beautiful, making it a perfect day to get outside, explore nature, and learn important outdoor skills. ☀️

Along the trail, our Scouts discussed the Six Essentials, reviewed Leave No Trace principles and the Outdoor Code, and practiced the importance of the buddy system. We also learned how to recognize potentially dangerous plants and stay safe while exploring the outdoors. 🌿

It was a wonderful day of teamwork, learning, and adventure!⚜️

🥾🧭 AOL Den Adventure! 🧭🥾

Our Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts had a great time this Sunday getting outdoors for a hike and learning important navigation skills! 🌲

The Scouts practiced orienteering and land navigation, learning how to use a compass and pace counting to help find their way. These are valuable outdoor skills that will help prepare them for their transition from Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA!

Great job, AOL Scouts, building confidence, teamwork, and outdoor skills along the way! ⚜️

🚀 AOL Den Visits Troop 87! ⚜️

Our Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts had a great time attending a Troop 87 meeting! This was a wonderful opportunity for our 5th graders to experience a troop meeting, meet older Scouts, and get a closer look at what awaits them as they prepare for their transition from Cub Scouts to the Troop.

Experiences like these help our AOL Scouts build confidence, make connections, and get excited for the next chapter of their Scouting journey!

A big thank-you to Troop 87 for welcoming our AOL Scouts and helping them take another step toward their Scouting adventure! ⚜️🔥

🏕️🔥 Pack 89 Overnight Campout! 🔥🏕️

What a fantastic weekend for our Cub Scouts at Boy Scout Park in Boxford! Our Scouts had an amazing time enjoying the outdoors, building memories, and having plenty of fun along the way.

The weekend was packed with great activities, including fire building, hiking, knot tying, field games, skits, delicious food, and, of course, plenty of s’mores! 🔥🥾🪢🍔🍫

A huge THANK YOU to our leadership committee and especially to our Cubmaster, Sean Dunn, for helping make this campout such a success; to Joel Schwartz for coordinating and preparing all of the delicious food; and to all of the amazing parent volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this experience possible for our Scouts.

These are the experiences our Cubs will remember for years to come. We’re so proud of all of our Scouts for jumping in, having fun, and embracing the adventure!

💪 1st Webelos Den Meeting! 🏃‍♂️

Last Sunday, the Webelos Den had a great time at their first Den Meeting of the Scouting year! They got moving and worked hard on their Stronger, Faster, Higher required Adventure.

The Webelos were lucky enough to have some of the older Scouts from Troop 87 lead them through a series of stations designed to test their strength, endurance, and teamwork. The older Scouts not only helped lead the activities but also cheered the Webelos on and encouraged them to push themselves!

It was a great afternoon of fitness, teamwork, and Scouting spirit! ⚜️💪

A big thank-you to our Troop 87 Scouts for being such great role models for our Webelos! 👏
