National Night Out is Tuesday August 4th.

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police/community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

The new Scouting season kicks off this September, and we are looking for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th Grade who are ready for adventure, friendship, and fun!

☀️🎆 SUMMER IS CALLING, NORTH ANDOVER! 🎆☀️

School is almost out, the calendars are filling fast, and summer planning is in full swing. Long, hot days... star-filled nights... and before you know it, fireworks lighting up the sky!

Yes, we know... it's Thursday, July 2nd.
Yes, we know... it's not actually on the 4th. 😉

But here's the thing:

✨ Before the cookouts and before folks roam,
✨ Before the holiday traffic takes everyone from home,
✨ We'll gather together beneath the night sky bright,
✨ To kick off the long weekend with community, joy, and light.

The North Andover Festival Committee has worked hard to create a fun, festive experience for everyone. We've thoughtfully curated vendors across the three official viewing locations so families can enjoy dinner, treats, activities, and local favorites while waiting for the fireworks to begin.

Bring your lawn chairs. Bring your blankets. Bring your neighbors. Bring your hometown spirit.

Let's fill our fields, parks, and school grounds with laughter, connection, and community. Let's marvel together as the sky sparkles overhead and celebrate everything that makes North Andover such a special place to call home.

🇺🇸 FLAG DAY FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY 🇺🇸

Yesterday, members of North Andover Cub Scout Pack 89, Scouts BSA Troop 87 and the Girl Scout of Andover and North Andover gathered to honor our nation’s flag through a respectful Flag Retirement Ceremony on Flag Day.

The American flag is a symbol of our country’s history, freedoms, and the sacrifices made by so many. When a flag becomes worn, faded, or no longer fit for display, it deserves to be retired with dignity and respect. Our Scouts took part in this important tradition, learning the significance of proper flag etiquette while helping to honor the values that the flag represents.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Dan Leary for organizing and leading the event, Veterans Services Departments of North Andover and Boxford, the members of VFW Post 2014 for their support, guidance, and dedication in helping make this meaningful ceremony possible. Their commitment to honoring our nation’s veterans and traditions provided our Scouts with an invaluable experience.

We are proud of our Scouts for their reverence, leadership, and commitment to citizenship as they participated in this important event. Thank you to all of the Scouts, leaders, families, veterans, and community members who joined us in recognizing and honoring Old Glory.

🇺🇸 Thank you to everyone who entrusted us with the retirement of their flags and to those who continue to preserve and pass on these important traditions to the next generation.
