Norman Grappling Club 18/19 signs up in October. Season runs Nov. to Feb. Open to 15 and younger (can’t be 16 before Sep We will have both a novice group and an open group.

Founded in 2012, Norman Grappling Club is a youth wrestling club serving the youth of Norman, OK and the surrounding area. The goal of the club is to provide a quality wrestling program to the youth of the Norman area that teaches more than just the sport of wrestling. We believe that the wrestlers will learn much more than how to wrestle. They will learn the values of discipline, hard work, and p

erseverance. Novice is for the "less experienced" wrestlers. Open is for anyone who is more experienced and/or more skilled. Starting the first Saturday of December, we will be participating in both novice and open tournaments. (A wreslter cannot participate in a novice tournament if they have alreay won 12 medals total.) These tournaments will be at different sites and we will have coaches at both sites. The season runs through mid to late February. You decide when and where your wrestler will particiapte in a tournament. It is your choice. However, we feel the more tournament experience a wrestler gets, the better the wrestler will be. We are so excited to have our very own NGC alumni, Christopher Wohrley, host practices this week for any jr high or high school wrestler that wants to come get better. FREE!

Christopher spent two years at NEO. He is home this summer from Graceland University and has offered to spend some time with us. He is one of the most dedicated and talented wrestlers we have ever had come through. Come workout with our crew Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm-8pm this week.

We officially have a STATE FINALIST!! Claire Lancaster will wrestle Saturday night at 6:30 in the OSSAA state finals in Jim Norick Arena. Come out and show your support!!

We also still have Oakley Caruthers alive in the back side of the bracket looking to finish in 3rd. He will be wrestling Saturday morning at 9:30 looking for his shot at being on the podium!
