Unsolved and Unknown

Unsolved and Unknown I've written for Oklahoma Cold Cases & numerous orgs for over 9 years. I know what it feels like to wake up one day and have your entire life change.

I am a crime writer, researcher, & advocate with a specialty in forensic genealogy working to shine a light on unknown & unsolved cases, focusing on marginalized groups. I lost one
of my best friends almost twelve years ago in a murder case that went cold. She's my
inspiration every day as I help other families and friends find answers. Every cold case leaves behind a community of people who care

and want justice. That's
why I'm working on a non-profit, OklahomaColdCases.org, to support these families. But, unfortunately, most people don't even know where to start, and the entire process
can feel like a mystery, especially when you're buried in grief. That's where we come in. Whether it's navigating a legal request for files, personal
investigator services, or victim advocacy, we are a guide and support system. I know
what it feels like to get stuck in the bureaucracy and lost in details. We can tap into our
network of resources to connect you with someone who can help. I'm interested in speaking with lawyers who help families with murder cases. I can be a
resource. This system is frustrating, and our organization can help the families you're
supporting navigate the post-active case world. There's no handbook for what happens
next, but we can help. Growing up in a region that's predominantly Native, I have a particular interest in
supporting cases that help women and children from this community.

Crystal fell unconscious as he strangled her, but he got spooked and ran off before he could finish murdering her. Donald Lee Evans was later convicted of murder and was stabbed to death in prison.
