The badge comes off. The bond never does. 🐾

This video captures the love, loyalty, and responsibility that continue long after a K9’s last shift—and why supporting retired K9s and their handlers means so much to us.

Thank you to Paws of Honor for inviting us to share this mission and Pine Bay Pictures for bringing its heart to the screen.

And watch for our own K9 Keto making his special guest appearance. A retired K9 with plenty of star power.

Because the mission doesn’t end when the badge comes off.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sergeant Bart.

For more than six years, Bart served with courage and distinction, helping seize hundreds of pounds of narcotics and $1.2 million in cash. His career gave us and his community so much to be proud of.

In retirement, Bart became part of our K9 Sentinels of Hope family. He joined us at vendor events, showed off his remarkable skills to the public, and reminded everyone that retirement hadn’t dimmed his drive or personality.

We got to know the Bart behind the badge—the goofy boy rolling upside down on the couch, the faithful companion, and the dog loved by everyone he met.

Bart was diagnosed with an incurable form of liver cancer while also battling immune-mediated polyarthritis, a condition in which the immune system attacks the joints. His health deteriorated rapidly. Today, we laid him to rest, surrounded by love and gratitude for the time we had with him.

His time with us was far too short. Saying goodbye has left us heartbroken, but we are honored, blessed, and grateful that we got to love him and give him a retirement filled with family.

Rest easy, sweet Bart. Your service is complete. You will always be one of ours.

Sergeant Bart 🖤
