Heartprints Animal Rescue

Heartprints Animal Rescue A non-profit group whose primary focus is to help dogs and cats in Noble, Ok and the surrounding area. Sadly, some of them had been in there for months.

Our story began when 2 volunteers came together at the Noble Animal Shelter, to help the cats, who had no advocate or rescue group to help them. The first step was to get all the cats that were currently in the shelter, out. The shelter is small, noisy and the cat cages were in very bad shape. Then, feral cats came in to the shelter and we had to quickly learn how to do the “TNR” process of “Trapp

ing, Neutering and Returning” to a colony or re-homing to a barn. Fortunately, we found an amazing woman who ended up taking 3 feral/stray cats to share her large modern barn with her horses, on a beautiful country acreage. So, this is how our rescue group has evolved...one need and solution, at a time. We have found many more angel rescuers along the way that have graciously volunteered their time to consult, foster, donate or simply cheerlead us on. This includes our current compassionate and hard working “board”, who continuously offer their expertise on many areas pertinent to our rescue efforts. Finally, we have now expanded our scope of services to include dogs in the shelter, and in the community (as resources permit). We are grateful for any help/support you can give and welcome you to share your gifts with us. In this way we can all work together to offer “Loving Kindness” to each-other and the animals in the Noble community!

This young pup was likely abused but has found temporary respite with a kind hearted foster. After his wounds have healed and he has neutered and vaccinated, he will be ready for a foster or permanent home. Adopting "Arrow" could be a decision that will change his (and your) life forever!

💘 Adopt or Foster Arrow - the stray found with an arrow in his shoulder 💘

Look at this sweet face! This boy is desperate for love, despite clearly having been abused. Besides the arrow injury, he cowers or jumps at loud noises or fast, unexpected movement as though he expects to be hit.

Lexington we need you to show up for this boy! In 5 days, we’ve learned he just wants to be a lap dog. So much so he launches himself full send into your lap at every opportunity. He takes treats and walks like a gentleman, and he wants to play with the toddler. Unfortunately he doesn’t know his own strength so their playtime is more managed than he would prefer. His youthful energy and desire to be with the humans would make him a wonderful running or adventure partner!

At this time, we do not recommend he go to a home with small animals, including cats or other small dogs. His prey drive is high, likely from being on his own for a while.

We are still working to get him neutered and UTD ln his shots, but these tasks will be resolved soon.

If you are interested in adding this wonderful boy to your family, you will not regret it! He’s got so much love to give! Please reach out via messenger.

Recognize me? I bet you can’t! Let me reintroduce myself…

My name is Lalita and I moved to New Mexico to live with my new family! 🌵🐾

I’m settling into my new home with lots of room to run, sunshine to nap in and plenty of mice to keep me busy! I even have a new husky brother who I’m learning to coexist with. I think I’m really gonna like it here!🐾

Thank you Heartprints and my foster family for rescuing me and finding me my forever home✨

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Lockhart Foundation for their generous support of our mission! 🐾

Because of their funding, we are able to continue our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, and spay/neuter and vaccinations for other animals in our community. This not only helps control the pet population, but also keeps animals healthier and families together.

Access to these essential services can be life-changing for the people we serve—and lifesaving for their pets. We are so grateful to the Lockhart Foundation for investing in compassionate, community-focused care.

Together, we’re making a lasting impact—one pet at a time. 💙

Folks, we are in a bind! We need to find Tarzan a home or we need money for his long term boarding (about $300 a month, plus food and medical expenses). This will drain our funds in a few months. :(

We have learned SO much about Tarzan and the type of home he would do best in. He has sensory issues (to noise especially) and anxiety with humans. This is likely due to not having proper socialization with people during his first year of life. (He is now 2 years old). He LOVES other dogs, so this is a MUST in a home. Pic in bottom right corner shows him with his bestie, Summer and his fav cat, Floki (in the background). :)

Tarzan DOES bond with humans, but it is SLOW and takes time. After being with his current foster/boarder for about 3 months, he will come up to her on his own and even want to cuddle, at times. But only when he is inside. When he is outside, he is more confident to interact when he has a doggy buddy. He needs his person/family to be calm and patient with him, or his progress will spiral backwards.

We have Tarzan on a natural supplement, L-Theanine, which research shows can decrease anxiety in humans and dogs. We think it has helped!

IF you can help monitarily, or by taking this precious, special needs doggy into your home, or just SHARING this post, we would be VERY grateful!!

Please p.m. us your e-mail address, if you would like an adoption app. ❤️🐾
