Do you know a 6th-12th grade student who has not previously exhibited swine projects and has an interest in the show pig industry and the commercial pork industry? The OKPork Partners Derby is their elite opportunity to gain experiential knowledge of swine science while exploring careers in the pork industry!

On Monday, March 16, 2026, Derby participants will have the chance to exhibit their project at the Oklahoma Youth Expo in the regular swine classes and in their own Derby show.

Applications are open and due October 15th.

Need mums for your fall decor? Here’s your chance and you get to support some great kids in the 4-H and FFA. $20 each. They will be at the school till about 2:30 today and you can also pick up from Mr. Shell in the ag room Monday or Tuesday.

𝙏𝙆𝙊 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩’𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣.

We are gifting $2,000 toward the purchase of one show pig, to one deserving student, purchased at the COBA Breeder’s Showcase next Sunday, October 5.

This show pig can be purchased from any eligible COBA Breeder, and must be purchased at the Breeder’s Showcase.

Along with the $2,000 sponsorship, a couple of our very close friends have locked arms with us, in support of this mission:

🤝Brycen Johnston with Go Pro Consulting has offered his consultation services for the show project for this show season.

🤝Dr. Karen with Deep South Vet has graciously donated her veterinary services for this show project’s health needs. (for example: castration, pseudo rabies test, etc.)

🤝 Champion’s Choice will be donating their products for the skin and haircare of this show project, along with a pallet of shavings.

🤝 Hanza Distribution is donating Microbiotica + to support the gut and overall health of this show project for the season.

𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁:

🔸 Be 8th Grade or older and an active Oklahoma FFA or 4H Member

🔸Must be in attendance at the COBA Breeder’s Showcase to pick & purchase their pig (any pig from any COBA breeder sold at the Breeder’s showcase

🔸 Must submit their application no later than Thursday, October 2nd at 12pm CST

🔸Provide two (non-family member) references

🔸 Winner will be contacted Friday, October 3

This week has been busy for our 4-H members!

Read an Accurate Ag Book week was a success once again. Club members had the privilege of reading to several elementary classes. Hopefully, they enjoyed it as much as we did!
