Lighthouse Community Church began in 1985 as a mission of the First Baptist Church of Kenai.At that time, Lighthouse was known as "North Road Baptist". After meeting in homes and the elementary school gym for a year, the first building was completed. In 1989 the church became incorporated with the State of Alaska as North Kenai Baptist Church. Since then additions to the main building have been ma

de as well as the building of a parsonage, apartment building, and pavilion. In 2014 the church's name was officially changed to Lighthouse Community Church with the state of Alaska. Currently the attendance runs an average of 40 to 60 on Sunday mornings. The church body consists of individuals and families of all ages who love the Lord and love each other.
