Ginnie's House Children's Advocacy Center Ginnie's House, Sussex County's Children's Advocacy Center

When child abuse is suspected, disclosed or reported, victims will find Ginnie’s House to be a child-friendly place that reduces further trauma by coordinating the child protection, law enforcement, prosecution, healthcare and mental health agencies. Few things are more traumatic to a child than being sexually or physically abused, assaulted or to witness a violent crime. For these unfortunate vic

tims, Ginnie’s House Children’s Advocacy Center provides a safe, child-friendly environment. We are here to help children from feeling victimized all over again during the investigative process as they disclose the abuse they have suffered. Ginnie’s House is a New Jersey non-profit corporation that is otherwise known as the Sussex County Children’s Advocacy Center. And we are dedicated to increasing awareness of child abuse and how it can be prevented in our community. We are also nationally accredited and a full member of the National Children’s Alliance, which is located in Washington, D.C.

What. A. Weekend!! Ginnie’s House volunteers attended 4 different events this weekend! 3 Miners games, where nearly $1,400 was raised through the sale of 50-50’s; and Ogdensburg day, where a ton of ducks were given out, spreading the message of how to “Squeak Up” for children! Our volunteers are THE BEST!!!

There's a lot of talk about freedom from slavery today. We are so very proud to live in America, where we have the right to be free. Unfortunately, many children do not have this same freedom. Today, there is a much different kind of slavery...and it's happening right here, RIGHT NOW, in THIS state.. even more-so due to the World Cup. There is a spike in s*x ads during the time frame a location of a major event, such as the Superbowl. The World Cup is no different... I'm cringing about what the stats from this event are going to look like.

Protecting children is a community responsibility.

Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, neighbor, or friend, your actions matter.

Research shows that supportive adults can significantly improve outcomes for LGBTQIA+ youth. Small acts of acceptance and advocacy help create safer environments where children can grow and thrive.

What can you do today?

✔ Learn the signs of child abuse
✔ Model kindness and respect
✔ Create welcoming spaces
✔ Connect families to resources
✔ Be a trusted adult

Together, we can help ensure every child feels safe, supported, and protected.
