There are some people whose generosity leaves a lasting mark on a community, and Harold LaValley was one of those people.
Because of Harold’s vision, kindness, and tremendous support, the LaValley Family Community Center and the new Harold LaValley field became a reality for so many families, children, and community members to enjoy. He believed deeply in giving back and creating places where people could come together, make memories, and feel connected.
His impact reaches far beyond buildings and ballfields — it lives in every child playing, every family gathering, every laugh shared, and every program that brings our community together.
We are forever grateful for Harold’s belief in Newport and for the legacy he leaves behind. Donations made in his honor will continue helping sustain programs at the Community Center, carrying forward the same spirit of community and generosity that Harold showed throughout his life.
Thank you, Harold. Thank you LaValley family, your kindness and vision made the Newport community shine. ❤️

A huge thank you to the Newport Community for this years Green - up Clean-up. Fantastic effort spearheaded by the West Family, but also the community who rallied behine them. Here are a few words from the Wests! ::

We would like to thank all the volunteers for green up cleanup. A special thanks to Chief Lee and the Newport PD for posting safety warnings for all involved in the cleanup and the NH DOT / Newports public works for picking up all the bags left on the road side.But lastly a huge shout out to the town for posting the challenge and all the kind feedback from the public during the cleanup. Now as you read this and think what a difference a small group of people can make think of what a difference the town of Newport can make if we all work together.

What an incredible community effort by Newport during the Red, White & Blue Bag Green Up Clean Up! 🇺🇸🧹
Together, the town has picked up an amazing 611 bags of trash so far — and there’s still one more day to go tomorrow!
A huge shoutout to the West family, who have personally collected an unbelievable 363 bags and counting. Your dedication and community pride are truly inspiring.
Tomorrow, the students from Newport High School will also be heading out to do their part and help finish strong. It’s great seeing all generations come together to make Newport shine.
Thank you, Newport, for showing what community spirit is all about. Let’s finish this cleanup strong! 💙❤️
