📚✨ Last week, as the book fair was wrapping up, the PTO purchased almost 90 books for students who didn't have the opportunity to purchase one on their own.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to all the families and community members who helped make this possible by donating through Scholastic's Share the Fair program online or at Family Shopping Night. Your generosity made our “Every Bunny Reads” initiative possible and made a direct difference for students. We believe that every child deserves to walk away from the book fair with a book they love, and we are able to make that possible thanks to the generosity of our community.🐰💛

Through our flagship Project R.A.B.B.I.T. (Read A Book Because It’s Terrific), we distribute hundreds of free books each year to students and teachers. Reading changes everything!

Come on out to support our kids and their wonderful music teacher as they honor the members of our armed services ❤️🤍💙

Join us on the Newport Common for Richards School Memorial Day Concert Friday, May 29th. Grades K-2 performs at 10:30am. Grades 3-5 performs at 1:30pm. Please bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on. Hope to see you there!

Know before you go reminder:

Parking is available in designated downtown parking spots, at the Community Center, and in the municipal lot across from the fire station.

Please note the following NO PARKING areas:

• No parking along the grassy areas of the common

• No parking in the Sugar River Bank parking lot

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep the area safe and accessible for everyone.

📚If you ever wanted to get involved with the Scholastic Book Fair, now's your chance!
The Richards School PTO meeting has moved to Monday, June 1st at 6:00 PM in the Richards School Media Center, and we'll be moving and setting up the Scholastic Book Fair together.
All staff, parents, and grandparents are welcome to join! And, if you want to become an approved volunteer in the school, we can help!
